Loved our time at HV but blimey I suffered it for 8 days. Went to Doctor had injections, pills, powders and nothing cleared it. Followed all your advice kept AC off at nights, ate sensible took dioralyte sachet each day (I do feel this helped prevent the cramps as I never suffered them this year). Even the Doctor said he had done everything and said I should get it looked into, as it was not normal after so much treatment to be still loose. Trouble is it is a vicious circle and treating you with antibioctics, well they get rid of poisoness toxins, not bung you up, so you keep going.
I was happy though that the Doctor just took my policy details, so I never ended up out of pocket over there.

I agree with you, It is the heat. Even the reps working on the complex were dropping off like flies. Those that had been there for a few months were saying that they were starting to not feel good since the height of season hit them.
Luckily my kids never suffred whilst there. Though since the plane home my youngest has the stomach ache and cramps but I put that down to the AC on the long flight home and sudden drop in temperature. I think that younger children stay cool as they are in the pool for so long.
But to be honest the belly problem and sickness seemed to be very very common. Everyone we spoke to had suffered it at some point, I certainly was not alone. One poor lady actually ran to toilet with it all running down her legs!
BUT I still love Egypt
