I agree with your sentiments, however in easyjet's defence I have seen boarding staff (in the UK but also in Spain) put some of these people firmly in their place, by definitely not allowing them to board with the Speedy boarders.

However i will always choose BMI Baby/Monarch/Thomson etc over Easy/Ryanair even if the cost is somewhat higher.

The whole unallocated seating thing really does bring out the very worst in people.

Leyland Lass, if your hand luggage is over on 1 but under on the other 2, then you might be ok. Just to be safe though, I'd pack so that the 23cms can squash down to the 20. Just after the maximum size was put back up to 55x40x20cms (Ryanair) I used a sports holdall which is 46lx26dx23h. When I got to Dublin, I found an empty check in desk for different airline who had similar dimensions to Ryan Air (depth still 20cms and it fitted, at Stansted on return the bag fitted both Ryan Air's and the Airports gauges. I did have to turn the bag so that once in the box, the 23cms was the front to back. I'd packed breakable stuff to allow for this. In my experience of flying in recent years, common sense seems to have prevailed so if your bag is within the 55x40x20 overall then it hasn't mattered if my bag has been slightly over on 1 dimension.

Wasn't with Easyjet but I had no problems using 35l rucksack for hand luggage which is 50hx45wx20d empty (Under on height, over on width, on maximum for depth). I was careful not to put too much in the side pockets just in case anyone wanted to measure it which wouldn't have surprised me. Airports used were Dublin and Stansted.

With boarding, in my experience Easyjet have been strict about boarding people in proper sequence, that's at Belfast (to be avoided if possible, see my posts in hand luggage), Stansted and Copenhagen.

Three 15 hour strikes have been called by Easyjet groundworkers in Palma, Tenerife, Malaga and Alicante

The strikes will take place on August 15, 22 and 29th

Strikes will affect all flights with Malaga expecting disruption to 34 flights

Hi,
Just found out about these strikes, and we will be affected as we are flying from Manchester to Malaga on Saturday 29th Aug. I wonder if there is any way I can find out where our flight is coming in from to try and ascertain if it is likely to be late into Manchester. It's flight 1923 leaving at 07:05.
If anyone can help I'd be very grateful.

On line check in help please - travelling with hand luggage only for the first time with Easyjet - the web page says on line check in can be done 60 days in advance. Do you check in for both the outward and return flights at the same time or is it only for the outward flight please? Just thinking that the return flight will be 74 days in advance if I do the outward one at 60 days. Does anyone know if it it states A or B boarding on the printout boarding cards.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Jean

Hi Carolineb23,
Malaga will be the aircraft's first flight of the day, as the easyjet A320 only do two flights each per day.. so after the aircraft has arrived back at manchester it will be going off to another destination..
hope this helps

Sarah.

Hi Sarah,
Thanks very much for your help. That puts my mind at rest a bit as it's in Spain that the strikes are happening, so if our plane is on the 1st run out we shouldn't be subject to any knock on effects. We may be stuck in Malaga for a bit though!!

In my experience the 60 days refers to each leg separately, i.e. if you check in exactly 60 days before your outward flight & are staying 2 weeks you will have to check in again 14 days later for the inbound.
I believe that eJ state that boarding group A is for all on-line checked passengers & IIRC about the 1st 30 who check in at the airport. Your on-line boarding card will therefore show group A.
Hope that helps.

Joanne,
I got through on that number last month - didn't have to wait too long. Very helpful person. I phoned just after 6 pm.

Pete,
Thanks for the advice - I shall wait until I can do both outward and return flights together. I assume I will then be able to print two separate boarding passes.

Hi

jblondi19 will you let me know if you get through on this number because I am also having trouble adding API to my booking. I go through the whole process it tells you to and then there is no button to input the info. It is driving me mad and I am sick of looking through the help pages.
If anybody else has a different number please let us know.

Thanks
Karen

Go into 'Manage Bookings' on Easyjet's site; click on 'View bookings' and, just below the cost of the flight(s), it should show:
"Thank you for providing your advanced passenger information. Please remember that if this information is inaccurate or does not match the document presented for travel, you will not be allowed to take your flight" if your API information has been notified successfully to and accepted by Easyjet.

It makes little difference as you get one for each individual flight & person separately anyway, just as at the airport. You can visit the eJ site twice to print each set (in or out) but within each login run them off as many times as you like, until you exit that page of the web.

Sarges that won't work for me because I booked my flights in febuary and at the time they were not asking for API information. I have since booked another flight for my daughters boyfriend and they did ask for it and I can go in and change it if I want.
We go in 3 weeks and I don't want to get to the airport for them to tell me we can't fly. Its so frustrating. I have e-mailed the address that was given so hopefully he will be able to help me out.
