babs188,

You'll find the short haul IFE listing towards the bottom of page 136. However, your flights are operated by a Boeing 737-300. These aircraft don't have IFE equipment installed. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide.

Hello,

Could anyone tell me what plane is operating TOM 374 Bristol to Cancun tomorrow morning?

Many Thanks

MPH74,

BRS-CUN-BRS (TOM374/5) is operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER, probably G-OOAN that's operating TOM258/9 (to SFB) today. You'll find further aircraft details on our What Aircraft? guide.

Hi!

We're flying to Sharm on 10 Sept (TOM 396). We were too late to book the emergency exit seats as we only booked last minute - just how bad is the seat pitch likely to be? (I've got a pretty tall boyfriend who might need to leave his legs in the UK!).

Thanks!

Sorry - forgot to say - we're going from Gatwick.

Lump,

LGW-SSH-LGW (TOM396/7) are operated by a Boeing 767-300/ER (328Y / short haul). You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide.

Thanks Darren - does 328-Y configuration mean that its back to a 28" seat pitch?

(By the way - this is a really helpful site...)

Lump,

As you'll see from the What Aircraft? guide, there are three configurations for the 767 fleet. The 328Y is the short haul configuration; ie 328 economy seats in a single class. Seat pitch is 29/30".

Thanks to you both!

My boyfriend might have to take a walk in the aisle to stretch his legs a fair bit! I'm 5'9" but he's 6'2". He won't be as badly off as some I expect - we met a guy who was at least 6'5" when we last flew on a Charter flight - and he was in a seat with 28" seat pitch!

I don't envy you your 10 hour flight to Cancun...I think 5.5 hours to Egypt is a bit much for 29" seat pitch, but we get what we pay for, eh?

They aren't as bad as you imagine; you'll find my trip reports to St Lucia and return via Barbados on them from 2005 linked on the What Aircraft? guide. They aren't the standard we are now used to on long haul flights, but are adequate and standard for short to medium haul charters. I'm sure you'll have good flights, just get up and have a walk regularly as you mention. I'm off to Turkey on an equivelent aircraft in 2 and a bit weeks :cheers :sun2

Lump,
Like Dazbo says there not as bad as you expect, they were not as bad for myself because I am small but there is plenty of spaces to walk around. I went and stood next to the door for quite some time just to pass on the 10 hour flight.

It won't be as bad for 5.5 hours as you have the TV's to distract you so thats a plus. At least its not a 757 with overhead monitors you could of been going on that! Think of it that way.

I hope you enjoy your flight and make sure you take advantage of the free water fountains. :tup

Darren,

Do you know what 757 (registration) will be operating TOM7120 (BHX-LPA) tomorrow morning? Having been keeping an eye ACARS, I've noticed that the last three weeks have been ex-first choice 757's, and the three before that, ex-Thomson 757's - are the aircraft on a three week rotation?

Furthermore, we are going on a Thomson Premier (Platinum) holiday, and last year at Gatwick were entitled to use separate priority check-in desks, and therefore avoid the queues - do you know if TOM use these at BHX, and whether or not we are entitled to use them?

Thanks and enjoy the rest of your weekend,

2morrows pilot 2day,

It could be one of several aircraft operating out of BHX at the moment. There are 5 flights out of BHX on a sunday evening, all of which return in the early hours of Monday. The aircraft based in BHX at the moment include; G-OOBI, G-CPEP, G-BYAI and G-BYAH. Your aircraft should be operating TOM206/7 to Monastir at the moment. G-OOBI is operating that as I type so I suspect that's your bird! Thomson have a priority check-in desk at BHX, I would assume you'll still have use of it.

Have a great holiday :cheers :sun2

Hey,
I was just wondering if anyone knows if BHX-CUN flights next year go via Manchester.
The brochure says no but the travel agents say yes as it still states a flight time of 12 hours.
I know there are various improvements going on a BHX at the minute but I was wondering if anyone knows if the flights are going direct next year? (Summer Season)

Fancying a change from Manchester as we have bad luck when we fly from there.
