I have posted it on a review site as well without the pictures but I have not posted it anywhere else.
Hope you have a nice flight and holiday!

I assume one has had problems? and wonder what the knock on effects will be??
pa38,
Just thought I would let you know there has been a few problems with Thomson/First Choices 767's but I was only aware of a problem with there long haul ex-FCA 767's which recently affected my flight to Cancun placing me on a short haul 767 (G-OBYE)
The cabin crew did mention to me on the flight that 2 of there 767's are out of service so they are using short haul 767's to cover but 2 days after I got back all 767's were flying with no issues.
At the present moment I am not aware of any problems with any of Thomson's 767's but these can happen once in a while and it will have a knock on effect.
1. They need to find a replacement aircraft
2. The delay then puts all the other flights operated by the now out of service aircraft delayed also.
This is what could of happened. Alternatively these flights may just be waiting for a late incoming aircraft which can happen especially during busy summer season.
I would imagine they will have sorted any issues they have by tomorrow and your flight should be on time.

Delays can occur for any number of reasons, be it aircraft technical problems, crewing, weather, ATC, ground handling, passengers to name but a few. All aircraft are currently in operation so it was either a minor technical problem or one of the other reasons I mention. There's a bit of down-time built in to the schedule so they'll soon be back on track.

Can you confirm which aircraft are operating TOM4706 from Gatwick on 20 09 09 @ 08.15 to Heraklion, returning TOM4707 on 04 09 09 @ 15.10. Will it be a FCA or Thomson flight??
Are a bit wary as last year trip to Paphos was 4 hours delay getting there and 30 hour delay returning due to a fuel pump needing repair!
Thanks
LGW-HER-LGW (TOM4706/7) are operated by a wingletted Boeing 757-200. It'll be a Thomson Airways flight. Aircraft are rotated regularly so it's impossable to say this far out whether it'll be a former TOM or FCA aircraft, but it's most likely a former FCA. It makes little difference really.
Darren
Thanks for your swift response
thanks for the reply. hopefully i can either find my post somewhere or just wait and see what's on the menu etc
Hi beermat ... your previous post is only about 70 pages and 3 months further back in this topic, how could you have missed it ? ...
Is it too early for someone to have a check and let me know the reg of the a/c operating TOM568 NCL-MAN-CUN Mon 17/8- I know a/c wise it makes no difference just a personal curiosity really?, also if anyone knows of the standby a/c ?
Thanks
It's too early to know the registration of the aircraft, we'll only know the day before. The aircraft operates TOM670/1 (NCL-Orlando-NCL) before your flight so we'll know when that flight departs. It makes little difference really, apart from the position of the overwing emergency exits, they're all the same inside. G-OBYE is normally designated the standby aircraft and will only be used if the original aircraft has a technical problem.

Can anyone tell me what type of plane and what seating configuration (plan anywhere?) will be used on flight TOM 0078/79 from Gatwick to cancun on 22 August please?
Welcome onboard
LGW-CUN-LGW (TOM078/9) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide. Thomson Airways don't publish a seating plan for that particular aircraft.

hi dazbo and thanks for finding that for me, i'd have been there all night looking for it i laughed at the bit where it says for kids and toothless geriatrics cos iv'e just lost my front tooth(getting it sorted for hols)but not far off geri, some days feeling it anyway cheers
I'm flying LGW-FUE on Nov. 28th, returning on Dec 5th on TOM4660/4661, and have found these flights are scheduled to be operated by ex-FCA A321s - I was just wondering whether Thomsonfly have changed the aircraft in any way, as I last flew on one in 2003/2004 with FCA and was quite impressed when compared to the B757... hopefully they're still as nice...?! Also, do you know if/when TOM have plans to repaint them?
Thanks for any help you may be able to give,
GK
