dmtuck,
You will be on a ex-First Choice Boeing 767-300. Seating is 2-3-2 so I would recommend a aisle seat on one of the 2's. If the flight isnt full they may even leave the seat next to you empty. You can not always be sure where you will be seated when you get to the airport so if you want I would say prebook your seats just to make sure you are safe.

I have just read your post regarding the registrations of 757-200 operating out of bhx. I was wondering if these will be the same for friday when i fly from bhx -pmi at 7.20
Also these planes seem to be quite old, is that ok with the 757-200?
Thank you appreciate you time
The flight is going direct this year with no problems. This flight is extremely popular so they maybe swapping it to a Thomsonfly 767, in which case it will revert to via MAN, in short I don't know, as the summer schedule isn't out yet I don't think many will know. Even when it does, they don't differentiate between FC/Tfly aircraft in the schedules. You'd need to ask closer to next summer(maybe last week of March) my flying programme does, but that is only 6-8 weeks in advance.
Thanks for that were just looking at options from other airports as Manchester's prices for next year are really high compared to other airports plus Manchester seems to bring bad luck to us when we fly from there!
Wish they still did Doncaster I loved it when we flew DSA-CUN!

We are flying out to Tunisia (LGW-MIR) on Tuesday October 7th on TOM626 returning on the 21st (TOM627) . Is it too early to know what aircraft will be travelling this route yet?
Regards
Welcome onboard
LGW-MIR-LGW (TOM626/7) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide. If you're looking for a registration (it makes little difference!), we won't know until the day before as aircraft are moved around weekly.
Darren
Even though the average fleet age for the 757-200's is approx 16 years, that's not a problem. It's middle age for them with aircraft nomally staying until their early to mid 20's. Aircraft aren't like cars, they are virtually rebuilt when they have heavy maintnenance (D check) so don't worry about that. Aircraft are rotated regularly (weekly) for maintenance reasons so the based aircraft may change before Friday. All the former TOM and FCA aircraft (from each previous fleet) are the same so it makes little difference. If you want an idea of the registration, we'll know the day before your flights.

thanks for the quick reply last week, we are flying from manchester to sharm tomorrow on flight tom442 is the aircraft regisration available yet as my daughter is wondering about IFE
thanks
Koggy
From what I can see looks like you will be on G-OBYI an ex-Thomsonfly Boeing 767-300 in the short haul configuration.
IFE will be provided by seat back monitors but they will be limited as to what you can watch on them.
I believe its a choice of 3 films but you still get the games and the map etc.

I hope this is the right board for my question.
I have booked a holiday with First Choice going to Jamiaca May 2010 and have booked the Premium cabin. My question is can i pre book seats and if so when can i do this. I know you could not do it when First Choice were a seperate company but now they are Thomsons, i was hoping we could pre book seats.
Thanks very much
You can, usually a few weeks to a couple of months before departure(there are various reports on here depending on route, aircraft etc..) Thomson are launching an online facility similar to Thomas Cook and Virgin. It should be up and running before your holiday.
Thanks for your reply.
Could you please help me, I am flying out to sanford from manchester on the 20th august the flight number is tom 114 is this a thomson or fc plane, also what is the seating plan we are in economy, and if possible could you tell us what movies and meals do you get on board.
Many Thanks
Emma
no idea for next year but we fly from BHX to CUN on the 10th sept and was originally due to go via manchester but they have now changed it to going direct! woo hoo!!
Welcome onboard
MAN-SFB-MAN (TOM114/5) are currently operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find further aircraft details on our What Aircraft? guide. I posted the IFE for July / August on page 134. September / Octobers won't be available until the end of the month. Meal information is provided by BY-TOM-AMM-FCA on pages 136/7.

I was wondering if someone could help regarding the type of aircraft (for seating arrangement) to be used by FC from Glasgow to Cancun next year? (Dep 25 Jun - TOM392/Rtn 9 Jul 10 - TOM393)
I have attempted to work it out myself but due to the takeover and changes to the company, things have become a bit blurred! This will be the first time I have departed from Glasgow as we normally fly from Manchester. Also, is the flight from Glasgow direct?
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks.
The flights before yours (TOM442/3) should be TOM2240/1 (PMI) on Tuesday morning and TOM876/7 (SSH) this evening. That's currently operated by G-OBYI, a former long haul aircraft with leather seats and seat back IFE as z.j.c correctly mentions. IFE is listed towards the bottom of page 136. posted by BY-TOM-AMM-FCA.
Have a great holiday
Darren
Welcome onboard
It's a little early to know exactly what aircraft will be operating what flights next summer as yet. However, GLA-CUN-GLA (TOM392/3) will be operated by a Thomson Airways Boeing 767-300/ER, probably in the former First Choice configuration. We can confirm it closer to the time. You'll fnd further aircraft details on our What Aircraft? guide. The flight is currently showing as non-stop.
Darren
Thanks Darren, much appreciated.
