Thanks for quick response! Do you know the inbound flight so I could track it by any chance?

Thanks

Parkera,

The flight before yours should be TOM158/9 (Man-Goa-MAN)

Hi TheJohn,

We have upgraded to premium for our flight to Sandford on 24/1/10 - our ticket book has come through and includes a voucher for admission to The Palm Lounge.

Hope that this helps.

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what happened to the flight TOM 122 to Puerto Plata from Manchester today as looking on the Manchester Airport website the flight TOM 123 due to arrive at 05.30 is cancelled tomorrow morning friends of mine should have been on that flight.

MAnchester airport was closed this morning and most of afternoon, it diverted to a different airport (not closed for snow clearance) and passengers coached home from there.

Sorry Mike I think you have misunderstood my query what I meant was did the TOM 122 take off and fly to Puerto Plata today as my friends we due to get on that flight once it turned around in Puerto Plata to come back to the UK TOM 123 getting in tomorrow morning at Manchester Airport at 05.30

Angie34,

As MB mentioned, Manchester Airport was snow bouned (SNOCLO to give it the technical term) from last night until 12pm this afternoon, and on and off for snow clearing after that. There were no aircraft movements due to heavy and persistant snow up to 12pm then restricted movements. Flights were either cancelled or diverted to other airports. TOM122/3 was cancelled. I would assume passengers are being put up in hotels until the flight can operate. Flights inbound this morning went to either Birmingham or East Midlands and passengers bussed to their original destination. Gatwick and Heathrow received most of the schedule airline diversions.

Hi all

I'm due to fly (flight-only) on a Thomson Charter flight tomorrow and it's looking increasingly likely that I won't be able to get to the airport due to the bad weather.

I've looked all over the Thomson website and waited and waited in a massive telephone queue to Thomson but can't find the answer ...

If I miss the outbound flight then will my return flight in 3 weeks time still be valid?

If anyone knows the answer I'd be very grateful.

Many thanks

wilwak,

As a flight only customer who's booked a return ticket, if you don't make the outbound flight, it's normally assumed you won't be travelling on the return ticket so it's normally cancelled. If you don't make the flight for whatever reason, you need to speak to the airline (or whoever you booked the flights with) to discuss options.

Oh dear, Thanks Darren.

That's not good. It's impossible to get through to Thomson at the moment and I'm sitting in a blizzard here.

I was hoping to salvage my holiday by getting a new outbound in the next few days and coming home on the same return ticket.

Love your aircraft photos!

wilwak,

That should still be possible, but you need to let the airline know your plans. Everyone else is in the same boat (aircraft!) at the moment with cancellations and delays due to the weather, hence the busy phone lines. Aircraft are out of position with flights to catch up on so depending on weather and knock-on effects over the next 24-48 hours, your flight might not even operate yet or be delayed. Things behind the scenes are frantic at the moment trying to sort people out so please be patient with them. As long as they know the reason you haven't made the original flight and you intend to travel and use the return, they won't cancel it. They just need to know that's all.

I'm still hoping it turns to rain soon (It never usually snows here near Bournemouth!!)

I'll try phoning Thomson again this evening if it looks like a no-go.

Hi wilwak ... hopefully you can sort things out with Thomson in advance, as Darren suggests.

However, you may also like to take a look at your travel insurance policy, to see what cover you have for delayed departure, missed departure, or holiday abandonment, specifically in relation to disruption due to adverse weather conditions. If for example Thomson were unable to transfer you to another flight in the days ahead, should that need arise, you may perhaps find that your policy covers you for any additional expenses for alternative flights.

Hello, Can you please advise the aircraft types for the following flights?

Manchester Tue 09 Feb 2010
Departs: 14:40
Flight number:TOM2208

Lanzarote Tue 16 Feb 2010
Departs:20:00
Flight number:TOM2209

And whether the aircraft has seat back entertainment, also as 'Sit together' was included in the price of the holiday which are the best seats to have (got 2 children with me so no emergency exit rows!).

TIA

squires55,

Welcome onboard :tup
MAN-ACE-MAN (TOM2208/9) are operated by an Airbus A321-200. These don't have seat back IFE, just the normal over-seats LCD panels. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (see below). Seating is personal preference and they are all pretty much the same so it makes little difference really.
