Ex TOM or FCA? Im presuming TOM.
Also TOM2645 PMI-MAN on the 1st May is showing as 763-W. I wasnt aware as yet they had S.H 763's wingletted..or are they putting a L.H one on?

MAN-LRM-MAN (TOM684/5) are operated by a former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-300/ER normally. Cruise charters are normally the former Thomsonfly fleet.
There are several TOM/FCA aircraft now retrofitted with blended winglets (3x 763's presently; G-OBYD & G-OOBL/K), and more on the way (G-OBYG, G-OOBM at the moment, others in the near future). All the 763 fleet will eventually have winglets, long or short haul as far as I know. It's part of a compensation package because of the very late 787's.

Seating is very much personal preference. There are pro's and cons of any seating. The seats at the rear don't offer anything different to those further forward, but you might find a constant stream of people going up and down to use the toilets and cabin crew making runs as the galley is at the rear. Some people find the seats towards the rear a little noisy because of the comings and goings. Apart from that, there's no difference to the others. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (see below).

Nope. Still can't do the API. I've tried the holiday booking reference. The flight booking reference. Lead surname. Other persons surname. Date of departure. Date of arrival in case the overnight flight confused things.

Thomson collect API information as required at check-in so I wouldn't worry too much. Details are on their Flights FAQs - Checking in page about 2/3 of the way down.

Also its worth mentioning, there are lights above the entrance to the toilet which do not switch off, which causes a lot of discomfort to customers occupying 39/40. They cannot be switched off by the cabin crew.
If you are concerned about having people behind you, I suggest row 19A-G on the ex First Choice aircraft and 32AB/GH on the ex Thomsonfly aircraft.

am flying London Gatwick TOM040 on 1st Feb I have prebooked legroom seats row 14A/B. Returning 23rd Feb on TOM041 &have legroom seats row 13F/G. I cant find 13F/G on the seatplans. Any ideas.

TOM040/1 are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. There are two variations depending on the actual aircraft assigned to your flight on the day. You'll find links to both seat plans on our What Aircraft? guide (see below). Chances are, you'll be on Version 2. Seats 14 A/B are extra legroom seats located on the port (left) side of the aircraft, just behind the toilets at the front of the economy cabin. Row 14 is the first row of outer seats on V2 aircraft, there isn't a 13 A/B or F/G and 13 F/G is the second row of seats on the V1 aircraft. Row 12F/G are extra legroom.

Thanks Dazbo, just phoned Thomson and theyre still saying that Row 13F/G are legroom seats. Looks like another arguement at checkin

It won't be G-OBYF as that aircraft left the fleet to join Tuifly Nordic last October, and it won't be G-OOBL/K (ex-FCA) as they are used on longhaul. It's more likely to be G-OBYD/G. It makes little difference, they're both the same inside.

Yay. Tried the API again today, and got on OK. Seems to be a case of keep trying and it will work eventually.

Do you know when you can select the seats you want? I was told 90 days before the flight, but the website says 60 days. Is it different if you do it online or by telephone?

There isn't a definitve time when you can do it, it's whenver they are uploaded on to the system. It's normally about 60 days before your departure date, sometimes earlier. It's best to keep checking. It doesn't make a difference if you try online or by calling Thomson.
