As I am travelling with a toddler, I just wondered if anybody knows whether there is any temporary seat given out by cabin crew on the plane. My neighbour said toddlers are given some kind of pull down seat. Anybody know whether this is true on a Thomsonair flight?
Also, on the Thomson website, it says that infants (under 2) now have a small baggage allowance. Anybody know whether this is true or not?
Also - last but not least - the website mentioned a lapbelt for children under 6 months. Do children between 6 months and 2 years then travel with no seatbelt? It sounded odd.
I'm going to try ringing them but would appreciate any information in the meantime.
Thanks.
Suzie B
Welcome onboard
Seats for under 2's aren't given out unless there's one available, ie a spare seat next to you. The aircraft aren't equiped with any pull down seats for use by passengers. If you want a seat, you'll have to purchase one I'm afraid. Under 2's have a baggage allowance of 10kg's. Lap belts will be provided by cabin crew before take off for everyone.

Thanks, Darren. That's what I expected. I think my neighbours travel with more expensive airlines such as BA so that's probably why they thought that. I hope that's right about under 2's having 10kg as I don't think I'll be able to fit my clothes and her clothes into 20kg plus hand luggage. Do you know, is the 10kg only hold luggage or a bit of both? Oh, and the info about the lapbelt made me feel more comfortable - I wasn't

I didn't make it up! Everything is on Thomsons website. It's checked in luggage rather than hand luggage. I'm sure you'll have enough to carry without more hand luggage!
Darren
I checked the Thomson's website before I came on here but my travel agent says my infant doesn't have any allowance at all and I'm worried that I'll turn up with the extra 10kg only to be charged excess baggage. I certainly don't think you're making it up!
Thanks.
Suzie
Thomson only recently changed their policy with regards to infant baggage allowance. Up to the end of last year, they didn't have any but it's changes for this year so the agent may not have been up to date with things.

Goa 5/4/2010 could anybody tell me what time my flight arrives at Dabolim, flight no TOM 158
Times will be confirmed when you get your tickets. The schedule is showing:
Dep MAN Mon 15:15, Arr GOI Tues 06:30, Boeing 767-300/ER, Flight No: TOM158
Darren
Just double-checking on expected aircraft type for TOM 4106 LGW-FNC on both Mon 15th and 22nd Feb please, also TOM 4107 FNC-LGW on 1st March.
Any suggestions for best seats to look out for? We've pre-booked with Special Assistance on medical grounds and have asked if possible for row 13 seats E and F as we understand that these give extra leg space......unless you can assist us further?
To save hassle we're going to check in the day before so hoping potential seat selection will be the same as on the day itself.
Many thanks in advance!
Andy
The aircraft type is assigned for the whole of the winter schedule, so no change (Boeing 757-200). Seating is personal preference. Apart from exta legroom, they're all identical. Given you have medical seats, you'll already have your seats assigned. Seat 13E is a standard seat, 13F is extra legroom (medical). Seating is pre-assigned 24 hours before your flight departs using a computer model so it'll make little difference whether you check-in on the day or use day before-checkin. Given you have medical seats, you're limited to those anyway.

Please could somone tell me which type of plane TOM532 to Bodrum is? We found Thomson flight to Lanzarote recently really cramped with no legroom, and I'm reluctant to book Thomson in case we experience the same.
When are you travelling? MAN-BJV-MAN (TOM532/3) are operated by a Boeing 767-300/ER (winglets) through the summer. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (see below).

Hi, I have booked premium seats on our flight to Goa can you reserve the seats you want or is it allocation on arrival at the desk ?????? Sorry I am petrified of flying and panic about where I sit, I don't like turbelance
Seats are allocated 24 hours prior to your flight. You can select your seat if you wish, details are on Thomsons website and available to book online here. Just think of turbulance as like driving over the 100's of pot holes on the roads at the moment!

Do i have to send my API in just now or will they just do it airport when we check in,
API should, and can be provided up to 6 months before you travel using Thomsons EAPI-Thomson website. For those on a last minute booking (within 4 days of departure), it can be provided at the airport. I did my API the other week and it litterly only took a minute to complete. Make sure you double check all your details before submitting it to make sure it's correct as any incorrect information may lead to you not being able to travel.

Hi there, I know this question has prob been answered a hundred times, but what aircraft is used for thomson flight TOM134/135 !?
Welcome onboard
Please supply all your flight details when you request aircraft information, eg when are you flying and from where? MAN-SFB-MAN (TOM134/5) are operated by a Boeing 767-300/ER (winglets on 30/04/10). You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide.
Darren
Thanks ! Sorry for that ! We are flying Man to Sanford 26/03 (Tom 134/135). As far as I can tell a boeing 767-300 is a 2-3-2 seat layout. When going into the thomson site to try and pre book our seats it seems to be giving us a 2-4-2 layout !? Any ideas !?
Thomson have both configurations within their fleet both 2-3-2 and 2-4-2, they have allocated a 2-4-2 to your flight.
