Thanks Mark,
I typed in Primark and selected, topic titles which didn't bring it up. However, I've just tried the same again and it's there. I must have mis-typed earlier.

Have been in today. They are beginning to get their summer stuff in. Flip flop type sandals for £2 (I brought 3 pairs of these last year and wore them all to death because they were so comfy) and in all the colours you could possibly want (got myself another 3 pair today but because they are so easy and small to pack, even my hubby doesnt mind me having a different colour for each outfit I wear on holiday ;) ). Mens shorts - and good quality ones too - from £5, girls dresses from £4, girls swim suits from £4. Lots of womens summer wear.

I find that you do have to pick and choose with their stuff as some of it is tatty but you can get things that do last for more than one holiday. To be honest though, for the amount things cost in there, it wouldnt bother me if things only lasted for just the one holiday.

I'll definitely be taking a trip to Primark before my next holiday in 38 days time :)

Went to Primark yesterday. I can't say I was overwhelmed with great clothes. I wasn't looking for much luckily as nothing really stood out. I did get a pair of red linen shorts for £3, a pair of long denim shorts-£9, a striped long t-shirt and a holiday hat -A straw cowboy type thing from the children's section (I've a small head, despite what hubby says)

Hubby got a long pair of grey cargo trousers, a vest, a polo shirt and about 4 t-shirts.

That's it for us now, all the holiday shopping completed. Roll on!!

Hi
I went to Primark today in Manchester, I must be the only person in the world that doesnt like the store, everybody else seems to find bargains, I cant stand the crush, went early this morning, It was still mad :yikes Shopped in City centre for 4 hours and came home with nothing, think I am sticking to Tesco and George from now on :tup

I thought i was the only one who didn't like Primark. It's too much like a jumble sale for me.
I prefer Matalan.

I don't like Primark either - the only thing buy from them is woollen gloves in the winter as I lose them all the time, but their quality of clothes seems shoddy and it seems a waste of money

I always hated Primark especially the one we had here as it was like a jumble sale and I always had a fear that if there was a fire, there was no way everyone would get out in one piece. No organisation and the clothes were always filthy so I rarely used it. Now, we have a brand new (well opened in the autumn last year) primark in Bristol. Its spread over 4 floors, there are always staff tidying up and refolding clothes, nothing on floors and a huge selection of stuff. Not just your cheap rubbish (that you still get in there) but also loads of better quality things. I have a bit of a Primark addiction at the minute and go in every other week. Have got a lot of my daughter's holiday clothes from in there this year. I love it.

I think you have to be lucky in Primark. I usually go twice a year to stock up on holiday basics & just before Xmas for things like socks, scarves, gloves etc. I was there yesterday & had 2 great t shirts for the day for hubby at £3 each, a pair of swimshorts at £4 and 4 pairs of good quality boxers for £8. For myself I had 2 t.shirts £2.50 each & a lovely grey sweatshirt type material blazer for £10. I bought the same type of t shirts last summer & wore & wore them in work, & they have kept their shape beautifully. To be honest, at those prices if they last me over the summer months I'm happy. :tup

I love Primark if i can get in there first thing of a morning , when all the shelves are neat and tidy and nobody else in there, my local store is a bit of a junk shop really , really not enough floor space for the displays , the store in Cardiff is so much better , spread out on different floors , more choice . Primark is one of those shops i have to go in , cant just walk past.

Primark are ideal for holiday clothes, people seem to think it's not good enough quality, but I've found lately that New Look (my favourite shop) has recently dropped in quality! I'd rather pay £2 for a t shirt that I will wear once or twice on a 2 week holiday without worrying about wrecking it.
The one in Liverpool has to be my favourite :) but likewise, I have to get there before 10am on a Saturday because it gets so crowded!
Got some gorgeous summer shoes for a fiver, instead of flip flops! If they last the 2 weeks while I'm in Cuba, I won't complain!

They've got some lovely summer shoes this year - fancy studded gladiator sandals, and pretty flip-flops. Went in last week for some new work clothes for Spring (whenever it arrives) and bought loads of stuff! Love the sunglasses in all different colours and styles for £1

Llindy what were the sun dresses like ? what colour had they please ..colleen

The dresses were floral , one a navy with big bold print , the other was white with more subtle colours , nice size shoulder straps , has v neck line , and i think there was a little bit of rouching at the back , i'm sure they could be dressed up for evening wear . You will find them in the swimwear section of the store . They do look better than my description
