bobli1981,
LGW-SSH-LGW (TOM536/7) are indeed operated by a Boeing 757-200. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

I'm thinking the upgrade to premium might be worth it for the free drinks, food, extra films and slightly larger tv. The longest flight i have ever been on was about 3 hours so i think a 10 hour flight might be a little challanging. I need to make sure i have plenty to keep me entertained
11 weeks and 6 days until we go! (not that I am counting )
Thanks again,
Tammy
Tammy,
I've flown a few times on FCA/TOM in both premium and normal cabin on their long haul planes!
My thoughts....
I've never paid full price for Premium (other than honneymoon I think!) - we've paid £150 each for Mexico next month. I think this is a very fair and reasonable price for premium. I would not pay the £300 each or so that it can be - ie when we've flown non-premium, and most holidays that I've priced after Nov (increased gov tax!!).
I wouldn't upgrade for drinks alone - they are not that expensive on board - certainly comparable to most pubs and last year had a lot of 2 for £5 offers etc. The return flight is a night flight and many people need to drive etc on landing and try to get sleep - I have however in the past stayed up watching films all flight and had drink after drink etc!! The meals are better in premium. What you are really paying for is the seat width, comfort and extra 3 inch leg room - and the luxuriousness of turning left when boarding, not having to pay extra for anything on board, having a dedicated toilet, quieter section, dedicated crew etc. You get priority boarding and dissembarking but it doesn't exactly take ages to leave a 767 - and first out just means first to wait for bags at the conveyor belt! Bags used to get priority tickets too - but never ever came out first in our experience!!
Personally, if the price is right, do it! But - if it's not available or too expensive there's nothing wrong with the back of the plane!!
Thanks once again going to sharm
MAN-SSH-MAN (TOM572/3) are operated by a Boeing 767-304/ER (short haul / winglets). Further aircraft details are on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

I fly on TOM060 to La Romana on the 23rd Jan! Bit forward I know, but can anyone tell me from which date I can prebook my seats on the plane. Online and phone please!!
Cheers!
Seats can be booked over the phone from 90 days before your departure date, or 60 days online. If they have your email address, you'll receive an email when it's on the system. You can keeping looking yourself though online at Thomson Extras.

Thanks Dazbo. x
Thanks Darren am i right saying they have a 33inc pitch and tvs in the seats thanks
Darren is off on holiday as from first thing in the morning
The short haul aircraft have 30" seat pitch rather than 33". That's only for the long haul aircraft. All have seat back screens however.

I fly to Cancun on 6th November, flight no. Tom 144. I've done some research and think the aircraft is a B767-304/er with a 2-4-2 layout. I'm looking to pre-book seats but don't want to spend a fortune on extra legroom - is there any way of knowing which seats might have some extra room through being located at the front of a compartment or near toilets or something?
Any help is much appreciated
Thanks
Tom
Do remember that all seats with Thomson on a long haul flight have 33" seat pitch and was such would give as much if not more legroom than some airlines bulkhead seats. Typically bulkheads are medical seats, depending on how many are travelling in your group you may prefer 2 seats nearer to the window as they can give the impression of having more space than 4 or 3 in the middle.
My partner and I have booked premium seating with Thomson for a trip to Goa in November.
Weve just done our seat selection and are a bit confused that goin out from manchester the premium config was 2 3 2 and flying back it was 2 4 2 is that right or have we done something wrong. Obviously it may just be a different aircraft type, but just curious if someone in the know knew why!!
Thanks
both FC and Tom airframes are 232 in prem/prem econ.. the thom airframe is 242 in economy..UNLESS they are using a short haul config airframe which is 242 throughout
Have just read a couple of post on here that Thomson will no longer be providing IFE on short haul flights? Will this also be the case for flights to Sharm from Gatwick for next summer, even though they are classed as mid haul?
Thanks,
Pat
