Parkera,

MAN-PFO-MAN (TOM2316/7) are operated by a Boeing 767-304/ER (short haul / winglets). You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Hi Darren,

I'm just checking to see if you know which plane will be operating TOM062 (Gatwick-Cancun) on 3rd December. Know it might be a bit too in advance, but reason for checking is its 90 days tomorrow till we leave, so hopefully being Premium economy we can pre-book our seats.

Is there any preferable row in premium economy to go for? I know they all have the same pitch etc, just wandered if there was perhaps any extra legroom at the bulk head. Or if easier, is there any specific row to try and avoid. There are 2 of us, so will be hoping for window seats.

Cheers in advance.

SAEAGLE,

Your flights are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER (winglets). Seating is personal preference. There are no 'best' seats. The seats at the front offer slightly more room, but not everyone likes the bulkhead seats. The last row (9) doesn't have a window, it's blanked out as it's where air conditioning ducting and wiring is located.

Can you tell me what flight runs before the TOM 50 to Samana tomorrow.

Is it on the back of the SFB, as this is running 7 hrs late??

It's the TOM092/3 (Cancun) at the moment, but was the the TOM048/9 (SFB) up to 2 weeks ago.

Hello Everybody! I,m flying from Gatwick to Kefalonia on 19th September, and I guess that it will probably be a 757-200 I wonder how old these planes are? ;) What is the difference between a Thomsonfly and an ex FCA plane??

hobbayne,

Welcome onboard :tup.

LGW-EFL-LGW (TOM4714/5) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. The differences between the aircraft are detailed here. However a couple of aircraft have had newer interiors fitted, details here. Fleet age isn't all that important given the high levels of maintenance they receive. Aircraft aren't like cars!

PS please quote flight numbers when requesting aircraft information as there are often several flights.

Hi all,

Just wondering if you could give me a hand with the planes I'm going to be travelling on soon...

Going to Tunisia (MIR) on 31/10/10 from MAN, TOM594 leaving at 07:35 and coming back from MIR to MAN on TOM683 at 21:15 on 07/11/10. When I looked on seat plans, it told me it would be a 767-300 but having just logged onto to select my seats, found out it is a 3-3 config so now not so sure.

I don't suppose you would know about IFE / flight meals as well??

Thanks in advance for your help

MAN-MIR-MAN (TOM594/683) are on the schedule as operated by a Boeing 767-304/ER (short haul / winglets). If it's only showing a 3-3 online now, it's likely they've changed it to a Boeing 757-200. Further aircraft information including current IFE is available on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Do any of the expets know if Thomsons IFE system is now stable.

Flew with them in November and in March.

On the March flight the system had just had a software upgrade and quite honestly it was unwatchable.

One of the cabin crew informed me it was a complete nighmare and no matter how many times engineers fixed it the system kept breaking down.

As we are flying MAN-PUJ on the 15th of this month interested to know if it has been sorted.
