Hi,
I am flying with Thomson Airways next year and i was wondering could you tell me what kind of aircraft will be operating the flight.
We go on the 13th April and return on the 20th April. Manchester to Sharm el Sheikh.
Flight number TOM738 departs at 10:05, and return flight TOM739 lands back at 22:50
Thank you
As a guess, I presume it will position empty from Manchester as the three ex-first choice 767s at Gatwick are busy on the 26th and its an ex-Tfly 767 based at Birmingham again this winter which is spoken for that day also. As another guess, it will probably be PUJ-MAN(TOM105) That your aircraft operates prior to your flight as the other flight(Cancun) will arrive into Manchester too late to then fly to Cardiff empty and operate your flight on time.
Hope this helps
Thanks BY-TOM-AMM-FCA Will see what we get allocated at Gatwick.

Your flights, MAN-SSH-MAN (TOM738/9) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).
Darren
Thanks for all that infomation.
I've booked to fly to Cyprus again and wanted to see what aircraft type will be used please.
TOM2730 Manchester to Paphos on 2nd Jan 2011, flying back on TOM2731.
Thank you.
Jason
MAN-PFO-MAN (TOM2730/1) are scheduled to be operated by an Airbus A321-200 on 02/01/11. Assuming you're returning on 09/01/22, it's a Boeing 757-200.

I'm returning on 16th January. Will that still be an A321 out and a 757 back then?
Thanks Darren,
Jason
JasonMack,
Can you tell me what aircraft for LGW to Sharm TOM652/TOM235, whether there is seatback tvs and what the seat pitch is. Many thanks.
Mate I wonder if you can help me, I have today had a call from Thomson they have told me they have changed the aircarft we are due to fly to Cancun form Manchester on Monday 11 Ocotber 2011 on TOM 174, we had 4 seats booked rows 3 & 4 A-B. They have told me the plane has been changed and there is NO premium cabin on the plane now. They have put us in rows 8 A-B and C and One person in Row 9 A, I am disgusted by this as we have two ladies who have doctors certifcates for being nervous passnegers, we booked these seats on seat allocator with 20 mins of the flight opening, and to be sat apart is very disspointing.
I was wondering if you can tell If the plane that is due to opeate has a premium cabin with less seats, and they have just bumped us out of premium and said there is no premium cabin
Best regards
Dan
Be aware one of the long haul aircraft (G-OOBK) is currently grounded, I beleive for up to 3 months, due to a landing incident last week. Some flights are therefore being changed to short haul aircraft with no premium seats. There's more details over the last page or two, particularly this post. There's not really any option under the circumstances but to use a short haul aircraft. You've just been unlucky to be effected by the changes. Your flights are looking like they'll be operated by a 328 seat short haul configured Boeing 767-304/ER (winglets). You'll find lots of aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

When is it you're flying? Before the end of this month? LGW-SSH-LGW (TOM652/3) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. Further aircraft information is available on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).
Darren
if its the short haul version that is also more untruths from thomsonfly to First choice hypermarket in Cheshire oaks.
I was was wondering if they had put the plane with fewer preminum seats on that route, as they have gauranteed we will have the premium on the return journey, I have asked to cancel but they said we will lose all monies paid as its not a big enough change !
Thanks for the info Daz very helpful
Would they really put the short haul plane to fly long haul, with 29 or 30in leg room, there will be uproar on that plane I would imagine
Best regards
Al
They may well have, I know as much as you at the moment to be honest about the changes. Just bear with them, there's not a lot they can do given they're an aircraft down. It's just an unfortunate incident that's inevitably going to effect some passengers. The short haul aircraft are actually long haul from pre-2008, charter aircraft weren't always configured with 33" seat pitch! It's not as bad as you imagine, I've been across the pond many times on them before they were reconfigured.
Darren
do you know Tom 862/755 man to sharm mon 18 October 2weeks. Do you know if outbound flight has tv's in seats as it's a 2-4-2 config? It's 3-3 on return? Thanks :o)

Do they have a 30 inch pitch on them Darren or have they got the 33inch in these ones, with seat back TVs
Al
All the aircraft information is on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). They will be reconfiguring some of the short haul (ex-Thomsonfly) aircraft for long haul at the end of this month, but given the circumstances, they may do one early to cover for the grounded aircraft. You may be on one of those but they only have 31 premium seats rather than 63 so some passengers willl lose out.
Darren
We have now booked for Cape Verde on the following flights from Manchester to Boa Vista
TOM892 out on 25th October, and TOM217 return 12th Nov
Can you see what planes are being used and what configuration please as the online booking form said 737 and Thomson said 757
thanks again
jilly
