jilly831,
MAN-BVC-MAN (TOM892/217) are showing on the aircraft schedule as operated by Boeing 757-200 (ex-Thomsonfly at the moment). Please refer to the reply to your previous post.
Darren
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
I'm hoping you can help. There are 3 of us booked on Thomson flight TOM476 from London Stansted to Sharm el Sheikh on Sunday 14th November, returning on Sunday 21st November, flight TOM477, we have pre-booked our seats - 4A, B & C, in your opinion, are these decent seats?
Many thanks
Lady64
Welcome onboard
Seating is personal preference. STN-SSH-STN (TOM476/7) are operated by a Boeing 737-800. The seats you've selected are as good as any others, they are all the same in terms of seat pitch and facilities other than the extra legroom seats. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).
Darren
Many thanks, much appreciated.
Just reading through the pages as always, and just concerened about the changes in the plane due to the stricken lady at Bristol.
We are booked in premium flying to CUN in December (3rd) from Gatwick, what is your guess that they will still be having to make alternative arrangements then.
I believe you said they will re-configure some of the planes at the end of the month, but even then, there will be less in premium economy. How do they then decide who will have to give up their premium seat and just have economy? Is it just random selection or do they have a planned way of doing it?
Thanks in advance Darren
You should be fine by then as the winter season will have started so there'll be more long haul configured aircraft in use. I wouldn't worry about things unless you're contacted by the airline, there's not a lot you can do about it.
Darren
Am flying from Gatwick to Hurghada on 3rd December on TOM 388 and back again on 17th December on TOM389. Can you tell me what type of aircraft this will be please?
Many Thanks
deals1982,
I'm flying from Manchester to Cancun on 1st Jan 2011, thanks to Darren I know the plane is a Boeing 767-300/ER ex Thomsonfly fleet 283 seat configuration, what I was wondering was what numbers the economy seats start at.
Thanks
Irenec
if Darren has told you which airframe then by clicking the what aircraft link under his name you can find the links to the seating plans
As Wizard mentions, all the seating plans are linked from our What Aircraft guide (link below). Economy starts at row 6, just behind the premium cabin (seperated by a curtain) on the ex-Thomsonfly 76W's
Darren
Thanks for your help Wizard and as usual Darren
Can I just say what a fab forum this is. I found this by accident and would like to thank Darren and the others for the really useful info here. I've really enjoyed reading through it.
I am flying TOM122 Manchester to Puerto Plata on 02 November. We are arriving at MAN around 18:00 by train and staying in an airport hotel before flying out at 10:30 the next morning. We have reserved our seats and were just going to go to check-in around 2 hours before departure. I've done this before for a similar departure time and it worked perfectly.
I was wondering if anyone has used the day before check-in and if you would recommend it? I am a bit unsure of it, as if not many people use it, wouldn't there be a risk of the small number of bags being put away in the baggage hall overnight and then being forgotten about in the morning and not loaded? We had decided not to use it until we heard about one 767 being out of service and the shorthaul one being used. When we booked the seats, the seats were 2-4-2 so I guess we must be on the ex thomsonfly aircraft. I was a bit disappointed as I've flown on the first choice ones before and 2-3-2 is very spacious. Anyway, I'm a bit concerned now in case we are changed to the shorthaul aircraft and they have to disregard all the pre-booked seats and just allocate them at check-in. If that happens and we only find out when we are perhaps the last passengers to check-in 2 hours prior to departure in the morning, with no choice of seats, i'll defnitely wish that we had used the day before check-in.
Would be really interested to hear advice/opinions
Best wishes

We are booked on a Thomson cruise and the flights are as follows
MAN - TFS Sun 5.12.2010 21:55 - 01:45 ( Mnchester to Tenerfie South )
LRM - MAN Sun 19.12.10 21:15 - 09:40 ( La Romana to Manchester )
Can you tell me the type of plane proposed please and the actual TOM flight codes as I can not find these flights on the Thomsonfly timetable - possibly because they are for this cruise only.
The seating configuration would be helpful too please - thank you
regarding my previous post on which aircraft will be operating our flight this coming Wednesday NCL-CUN TOM348/349 i already know its a ex. first choice 763 and you mentioned previously it operates TOM076 from LGW-MOMBASA prior from what i can see this flight that has departed tonight it is G-DBLA is this right and is it safe to say this will be the a/c operating ours to cancun on Wed 13th Oct??
Thanks
J
Yes it is G-DBLA that is operating tonights flight. The likely chance is that this will be the aircraft operating yours, however there is a technical problem with one of their other 767-300's at the moment so this might cause a change in the regular pattern. Also this aircraft could have technical problems that would prevent it operating the flight.

There are no flights listed on the aircraft scheduled from MAN to TFS departing at 2155. The only one showing is;
Dep MAN Sun 09:35, Arr TFS 14:05, Boeing 757-200, Flight No: TOM2762 (07/11/2010 - 12/12/2010)
Are you on a cruise charter? That might explain it not being on the schedule.
Dep LRM Sun 21:15, Arr MAN Mon 09:40, Boeing 767-300/ER, Flight No: TOM179

Welcome onboard
Day before check-in can be a useful time saver if you're close to the airport and travelling at a peak time. However, as all passengers have to be present to check-in, it's not always practicle and may not save any time if you have to visit the airport twice. If you've staying local, it may work out ok for you but remember you won't have access to luggage once checked-in so you'll have to carry a change of clothes etc in hand luggage so bear in mind weight restrictions and security regulations. Personally, I've never seen ther point in it but it does work for some. Baggage is stored securely and in a designated area for your flight, bags won't be left behind! Seating is allocated the day before the flight using a best fit model, not on the day so it makes little difference on the day if you're the first or last to check-in. You'll find lots of aircraft information on our What Aircraft guide (link below).

Thanks Darren
Yes it is a Thomson Cruise - we fly out to Tenerife at 21.55 on the Sunday and as it is the Thomson Destiny Tropical Transatlantic Cruise we fly back from La Romana on the times you state.
The 09.35 departure is the morning flight for that cruise but we are on the evening one - the ship sails on the Monday afternoon.
I am 99.99% certain it is a Thomsonfly flight as the luggage allowance and everything are the same - infact they are throwing in inflight meals both flights free of charge !
Cheers !
