Ever since we arrived for our usual Nov. break in 2001 and saw it parked on the beach we've been entertained with the twists and turns of the whole fiasco so it will be good to see the end game when we arrive on the beach at Aggies shack at approx. 8. 30 am Nov. 26th (who's counting!), then a 20min stroll along to see the last act (hopefully). It'll be interesting to see if what they've done so far, will make any difference to the damage to Sinquerm beach this monsoon.

It sounds daft but I am going to miss her in a way, she's been part of Candolim for so long. Where is going to be the turning point for our walk along the beach?
It will interesting though to see if the beach does start to recover, we were looking at some Photos last week that we took way back in 1991 of along that end and it was heartbreaking comparing them to the pics from last year I personally think it will never return to it's former glory
There are a lot of videos on a certain tube site that show the princess current state, not sure if I am allowed to name site, looks like not much left of her.
Hi All...
just got back from sunny Goa....
I should say that there is only about 20% of the River Princess left above the water line....i should think that it will not be visible in a couple of months.
No idea what is going to happen to the rest of it below the water line....knowing Goa as we do, they will leave it where it is....out of sight out of mind.
They certainly wont want to leave the Phosphor Bronze propeller buried, also there should be some decent scrap remaining in the deisel engine at the bottom of the engine room.

Hi Prettypollycat....
the errosion is not as bad as it is at Sinquerim.....
and there is only a little oil spillage around the area where the scrap has been taken ashore...
I think it is going to take a few years to get back to "normal" after the River Princess has gone...
