Enjoy your trip Aslemma, pity about the Stookie!
But I'm sure you will have a wonderful time as usual. Not going this May - Cape Verde calls
Thanks Anne. I'm sure you'll enjoy Cape Verde. x
hi were going end of september to sousse
Hope you have a wonderful time. The weather should be ideal then.
Whereabouts in Sousse are you staying dennieswife?
hi we're staying in the marhaba hotel, what about you
We're trying Djerba this year. We've stayed at the Marhaba Beach in Sousse for the last couple of years.
I've stayed in the Marhaba, Marhaba Club and Marhaba Beach in the past and they've all been good.
hi, ive read good reviews aboutmarhaba so were looking forward to going
Booked for a week in July......Cant wait already!
hi i hope its open i got a message on trip advisor saying it was still closed
Don't worry as if the Marhaba is closed I have no doubt you will be put in another of the group's hotels in the same area. It happened to me some years ago and I was put in the Marhaba Club instead. For the enormous inconvenience of being moved a few metres down the road I was given Full rather than Board.
tavelling on 2nd september 2012 to the hotel rosa beach in skanes , just for a total chill out hoping its going to be good and meet other singles.
I'll be back in Sousse for 11 days in November. Booked my flight with BA today and will sort out an hotel later. My arm won't be in plaster this time, unlike in April, so I may at least get both arms tanned.

Have a lovely time, watch out for floods, falls, trips, walking the plank and every other disaster that comes your way
Seriously I do hope you have a trouble / stress free holiday this time
Thanks Graham. I'll certainly be glad to be back and the weather is usually quite pleasant then. It has been extremely hot there the past few months and even the locals have found it almost unbearable.
Going to Marco Polo in Yasmine Hammamet on Weds. 12th! All dresses washed and pressed and parasol brushed! Can't wait - first time to Tunisia so really looking forward to it. Any advice much appreciated.
If you need to phone home do not use your mobile or the phones in the hotel but the public 'taxiphones' which are widespread throughout Tunisia.
I'm sure you'll have a great time. Look through the rest of the Tunisia forum and don't hesitate to ask if you need any further help.
Please can you tell me how to say 'please' and 'thankyou'. I know that French is quite widely spoken and I do speak a little but I would like to use a little Arabic if possible.
Also, can i tip the driver from the airport with euros as this is all I shall have apart from sterling?

No problem tipping the driver in euros or sterling if that is all you have, also the porter who takes your bag to your room at the hotel. That reminds me of another point. The Tunisians have great difficulty in changing all the pound coins and euros they get given so it can be mutually beneficial if you change any of your left-over dinars with them at the end of your holiday, particularly as you get a very bad rate at the airport.
