Thanks Aslemma :sun2

Pedro - weather a bit iffy for next Sun/Mon only, the rest looks good ! Better than Scotland anyway ;)

I've just had a look at the forecast and it looks as if an umbrella will be needed for both you and Anne. I was only going on what friends who live there were saying about the weather now. At least it looks as if if will be warm though and hopefully the showers won't last too long.

Let us know how the hotel is now Pete. I'm sure it will be fine but if you are still worried I'd be quite happy to take your place.

Just seen your post Anne - the weather there is usually better than Scotland. :rofl

Aslemma - I have looked at the various weather channels online, next few days are wet, but then they are also dry, next weekend dry but also wet, next week who knows?? is my case big enough for the wet weather gear :rofl but never mind, got books, ipods, netbooks etc etc etc and there is always the hole in the wall off sales! :cheers

Don't forget to pack a corkscrew. :cheers

Even if it is wet it is also going to be quite warm so you will only need an umbrella and perhaps a light mac if you have one. I remember causing great hilarity in Sousse by wearing a hooded cape advertising the London Big Red Bus which I had been given when taking some French friends on a tour of London in the rain. :rofl

Aslemma - you were right - weather iffy , arrived at Enfidha on a horrible wet stormy night, got a bit better today, but best of all the Offy is doing a roaring trade whlile the Magasin General workers are still on strike outside their closed shop! The Offy is like a speakeasy - queue up at a window in the wall for "refreshments" - locals and tourists alike in the queue :)

I was so sorry about the weather Anne, as I heard about it from friends who live in Hammam Sousse. Hope you managed to have a good holiday despite this and look forward to reading your report on the hotel. Did the Offy have a decent selection of drinks? The strikers are not doing themselves any favours as if the shops etc. are closed there won't be money to pay the workers even their previous wage, far less the increase they are striking for if they decide to go back eventually and it is more than likely the shop may never re-open.

I got back on Wednesday, and the weather was rubbish. It poured all day last Sunday, thunder and lightning. Spoke to a friend in Sousse last night, and she told me it was 30 degrees, :cry :cry :cry

It's sod's law that the weather has turned hot now you've come back Souad  I too heard that it's now scorching out there. Do hope you still managed to enjoy your holiday and at least the storms can be quite spectacular.

Thanks Aslemma, I had a great time. My friend took me to lots of new lovely restaurants, that I would never have discovered on my own.

I was not pleased with the storms at all, as it stopped me getting out and about. :cry :cry :cry

Sorry Souad, but its sizzling here right now :rofl however the forecast shows thunderstorms again at end of week so that might take the smile off my face!! :) We arrived last Sunday in the most awful weather and it has gradually got better, and better, and sizzly! Glad you enjoyed the dry bits of your holiday.

Great news Leanna. I do hope you manage to get out there next month. :gluck

Yippeeeeeee all booked up for a week in July!!! Only 4 weeks and 6 days to go lol :sun2
Had to go via Manchester which is a pain as they have cancelled the Belfast and Dublin flights this year but another flight and a night in a travel lodge is well worth it!
My boyfriend will be having his first Tunisia experience so just hoping he enjoys it!

Booking next week to go in the 1st or 2nd week of July-depending where we decide to go in Tunisia that is!

I Still dont know what part/hotel to stay in! I have a list of 7 hotels,3 are in Sousse, 1 is in PEK, 1 is in Hammamet and 2 are in Mahdia...

I dont have a clue which to pick :que Will be our first time going to Tunisia, just myself and partner are going, not heavy drinkers and not planning going clubbing but would like to be able to walk to shops/restaurants even if there are only a handful??

Finally booked a flight back to Tunisia for 6th November, the first date that prices drop to a more reasonable level (£132.99 from Stansted to Enfidha, after adding 20kg hold luggage and £8 credit card fee). I'll get round to booking accommodation much nearer the time but I've been watching flight prices for some time and they have been ridiculous. Just hope the weather is still decent but I've been before around that time and it's usually OK.
