Have a good time Sue. The curfew is being lifted this week.

I went to the travel agents at lunchtime but the price for 1 week had gone up quite a bit since yesterday so for only £122 more I booked for 2 weeks. :rofl
We are going to the Riu Green Park in PEK on March 20th :tup .

Indeed, you couldn't turn that down. Hope you have a good time. Which Marhaba are you going to? There are quite a few of us there around that time so make sure you wear your HT wristband. :glynis

thanks Aslemma staying @ the Marhaba itself but the price was hard to say no to (wristband ?????)

I've stayed in the Marhaba a couple of times, also the Marhaba Club and Beach, but not recently. This time I'm in the Marhaba Salem a bit further up the road and was in the Royal Salem in October. The lovely people at HT have (or at least had) very nice blue wrist-bands which they kindly sent out to anyone who asked politely to enable us to spot each other and say 'hello'. :glynis
There is a 'sticky' at the top of the first page of HT and I've just had a look. It seems if you send your address to payments@holidaytruths.tv Van will probably be able to send them to you (let him know whether you want 1or 2)

 Hi Aslemma we are due to visit Tunisia in June this year, as first timers and are sure looking forward to it although a little apprehensive as you can imagine, PEK is the resort and the Imperial marhaba the hotel, we understand that it has undergone a refurb during the winter but whether it will be finished we will wait and see. You obviously have the experience of visits to tunisia and we hope you enjoy your next visit, we will look forward along with others to read your report on your return, have a safe journey and a great holiday.

Thanks micker. I hope you have a fantastic first visit to Tunisia in June. It should be an interesting time as they are due to hold their first democratic elections in the middle of July, I'll ask around and see if I can pick up any news of the Imperial's refurb, but they've still got a couple of months to get it spic and span before you arrive, I'm off on Friday and more concerned about the weather than anything else, as March can be somewhat unpredictable, unlike June which should certainly be hot.

I'll put a report on when I get back - both for the hotel and the area this time in view of recent events. You may have to be a bit patient though as I'm not back until after midnight on 2nd Feb and the next day is Mothering Sunday so there's a chance I might be taken out to lunch or something. :rofl

Hi micker. We had a wonderful holiday in the Imperial Marhaba over a year ago. It's a lovely hotel and we found the staff to be really lovely and friendly. We also found the food to be excellent. There was a great choice every mealtime, so there's no fear of you being hungry there. Lunchtime the wine, beer etc. was on tap and in the evening the waiters served the drinks. All day there was coffee tea and soft drinks on tap and pancakes freshly made in the afternoon. I put a report on the review page when I got back, this would give you an idea of what we thought of the hotel. Surprised that they are refurbishing as the place was lovely, so it will be really classy now! If you need to ask anything I'll be happy to help if I can.
