My first visit hopefully at the end of July, Marhaba beach Sousse.
Aslema - its certainly addictive!! I know from this forum you stay in Sousse, we always stay at Marhaba Palace but in the last year we have been to Dougga, Thiburbo Majus and all the usual El Jem Carthage etc. We would normally just laze about by the pool with the odd golf thrown in so its certainly been a fascinating place for us. When you read some of the very negative comments in this and other forums (ta) its like a different place they are talking about. Another addiction is ArganOil !! It keeps me looking fabulous (oh and hubbylikes it too) !!
Incidentally, I haven't come across Argan oil so I'll have to look out for that, though I think it's rather too late to recover my fabulousness.
Been to tunisia twice staying in skanes. Off to hammamet on march 13th to the phenicia. Never been here but really looking forward to it.
Argan Oil you can get in some supermarkets, but the Soula Centre sell really good face stuff Huile d@argan ( in a white box) - its lovely on your skin. Lots of organic beauty products here now contain it (Liz Earle & Moroccanoil products) but quite expensive so its lovely to get the real thing in Tunisia. My face really does look fabulous ! or is the veil over the mirror something to do with it?
Thanks for that. I've made a note of it. Sorry we've strayed I'll tell you a funny story Anne but over in 'gossip corner'.
Think we can all go back now - British Travel companies are resuming flights Sunday 27 Feb (TCook, Thomson, F Choice) yay!!
We were in Sousse last September staying at the Marhaba Beach and had the best holiday we've ever had. The day after we got home, we were straight down to Thomsons and booked again at the same place for this year. Can't wait!!
just checked holiday prices from belfast have increased £20 from yesterday
Roswell - if you want to visit Tunis independently you can do it by train from Sousse very cheaply. You can also do Carthage I believe.
Thomson are cheaper than Portland and the 2 week price is the same as what I paid last March for 1.
I just have to ring our travel insurance and convince OH to go for 2 weeks.
Tour Khalef Hotel, Sousse, All Inclusive.
14 Nights - Manchester Wed 02 Mar / Wed 16 Mar
£293pp
Total price for 2 persons for 14 nights AI- £586
I will be checking my holiday dates tomorrow and seeing what is available.
Prices have dropped dramatically !! For our holiday in October with Thomsons we have paid £559 each, price has dropped today to £424
That's great news and I can't tell you how pleased I am to have been proved wrong. I'll have to start looking for October now.
Has anyone stayed here?
GOing to Sahara Beach on 17th August for 2 weeks, first time in Tunisia
Have a great time I am sure you will enjoy Tunisia
We've been to saraha beach twice, although it was approx 6 years ago. gorgeous pools, food and beach and the staff were wonderful.
Can't wait to go now....................most reviews are positive. Just hope it is ok to travel then
