Good luck Irene , a positive attitude is half the battle , I am off to weigh in tonight , will be happy with a loss no matter how small as I have maintained this past 2weeks.

I have 8weeks to go till my jollies and would I have to lose half a stone, was thinking about joining weight watchers or slimming world. Any one got any reccomend actions. Want to lose a bit of weight without feeling half starved if possible.cheers

3lbs off last week... weigh in again on Friday.

I've lost 2stones3lb with slimming world since January (well 1lb was through slim fast) I've never been hungry while on SW and hoping to reach 3st by the time my holiday comes round in August :cheers

Well done everyone :cheers . In 6 months I've only managed to lose a stone :cry but as I type I'm guzzling a glass (or 2) of the old sav blanc. Got a long weekend in Majorca in3 weeks. Is is possible to lose half a stone?

Well, I started running again about 2 months ago - I run 3 times a week and no more than 5km (around 30 minutes). This coupled with a healthy diet has seen me loosing 12lbs and my wife (who runs with me) has lost 1st 2lbs.

By the time I go on my hols on 24th July I should have easily lost a stone which was my original target - just 2 more pounds to go :)
Good luck to all you slimmers but I do feel that you need exercise to loose the weight quicker and healthier.

Oh by the way, I was 13 1/2 stone and I smoke around 10-15 cigs a day - not proud but just to prove that anyone can do it lol. :sun2

Hi all,
I could really do with some help here please.
I quit smoking in Jan :) but ive put nearly a stone in weight on :( Now I've got over not smoking Im going to the leisure centre 5 times a week doing various exersises, but Im soooooo hungry all the time.
Any tips PLEASE Im going to Jamaica in 8 weeks.

Tracy - fantastic news about the smoking - believe me- even if you don't lose a 1lb in weight, you will be so much healthier. Try drinking a glass of water befoe each meal, as it does fill you a little. If you start to crave the nicotine, chewing gum is your best bet, & I did find that it helped to fill the gaps between meals too.

Hiya yes I do drink plenty of water but chewing gum makes me hungry! Thanks for your tips anyway

I am looking at the Rosemary Conley plan - tbh I think I am 'overeating ' on SW. :rofl
So I bought a magazine yesterday and going to give it a go until my holidays in 6 weeks - a bit strict for the first 2 weeks but I need to do something............

hi everyone not been on this thread for a couple of months.
still doing sw, had lost 1st 11lb last time i was on here now its 2st 2lb off so its coming off very slowly.
would of liked to have lost 3 stone before my holiday on 3rd august, but don't think thats possible now.
so hopeing to of lost 2.5 stone before i go now.
on the up side i will be 2stone plus lighter than i was on last years summer holiday.

Well done all.
I have changed my eating plan a bit and in 2 weeks I have lost 8lb :yikes .... Now I'm not eating with the rest of the family at tea time, I eat after my exersize class (about 8pm) so far so good ;)

grand total loss of 2st 4lb now.

I went to SW class on Wednesday this week and put back on the 1.5lb that I had lost last week. :cry
It was thought that as I had gone through 2 bottles of cough medicine, cough sweets and ice lollies to sooth my throat this could have been the reason? I never thought of buying sugar free cough sweets - just needed to feel better which I do now. :wave:
Lets see what class brings on Monday - although it will only be 5 days since last weigh in?

Hi, not sure if there are any other ladies about on this thread but i used this forum years ago when going on holiday and this time i need to lose 28 lbs ideally by next March... Will post weight loss next wednesday.

Hi ladies, 3lbs down this week, so that is 9lbs more by christmas to lose in order to hit my mini goal and then 7-14lbs ideally more by march 2013, will post back next wednesday
