If I purchased, on the flight from Turkey..... to the U.K......over an EEC Country, any spirits, cigarettes , cigars or wine, which exceeded the limit of the country from which I am departing, (Turkey), would I be allowed to bring any of the above into the U.K, duty free, and therefore the restrictions limited will not apply, as the purchases were acquired whilst flying over a country in the EEC ?.

Now that really is trying to push your luck :)
Short and long answer is NO :)
You are entering the UK from a non EU country so the duty free allowence stands even if the booze and fags fell out of the sky on to your lap en route :)

What colour is the sky in your world? No - last year they had a big sweep at Manchester Airport and even opened packs were counted in the allowance. They had bin bags full of cigarettes, tobacco and spirits even before you went through customs and then ALL the bags were scanned. So just accept the limits or take the consequences.

In response to the Question regarding Duty Free Allowances for Turkey, I suggest you look at the HM Govt Web Site according to that you can bring back unlimited the same as Spain

Very Confusing

Its pretty clearly spelt out on this website -

Difference between Spain and Turkey? Spains in the EU, Turkey isn't.

My post was in reply to jbrookes. I googled for "duty free allowances" and that was one of the first websites that came up.

when we flew back with Thomsons, it was all over their duty free books that only 200 cigs were allowed to be brought in from NON EU countries.

but ..... that didnt stop the cabin crew selling packs of 400 to virtually everyone on the plane? ...customs could of had a field day!!
