Many apologies, my hubby doesn't think before he posts. he just writes what he says. I have given him a slap on the wrists and he promises not to do it again, but it did give me a good hearty laugh when I read his post. He is new to posting can you tell????
To be honest only discovered this year that jags are jabs to some people... we have our own language sometimes up here in bonnie scotland!! Dae ya ken whit a mean?
Nobody I know calls them jabs ! I'm surprised you haven't came across this before Probably a bit off topic now so I'll just stick to injections or use the English version jabs if I mention them here again.
jabs yesteday not sore at all, remember jabs not j*gs liz, sorry brian
got my Today I wish I hadn't! Big red rash on arm and have had to leave work at dinnertime and feeling extremely c**p at the moment
is this just cos I'm unlucky or has someone else had this??
We had all ours last year and just got a booster this year. Got to say my arm was fairly stiff, red, bruised looking, but rest were ok. About 18 years ago that was a different story... old type of vaccine then and felt very very ill!!
Hep A
Typhoid
Tetanus
Diptheria
Polio
No charge.
It seems quite late to me, but the nurse asked our travel date (July 28th) and advised us to have them not before June 30th and not after July 14th.
Can't wait
With the reaction I was having yesterday, no wonder it is free on the NHS!!!!
Feeling much better today, can actually manage to eat and rash is now going down Best thing is won't have to have it again
Hiya Hopstock - you're lucky it was free - I had to pay for the 'pleasure' :D. Not long now
We had the same jabs as you on Monday. We had to pay £15 for the Hep A, which need a booster within 6 to 12 months but then you are covered for twenty years. The others were free.
Diptheria, Polio and Tetanus came as one triple vaccine, which annoyed us as we were up to date on the Tetanus and felt we could be overdosing!!!
I had the Hep A in my writing arm which hasn't ached at all but the others in my left arm and I couldn't lie on it at all the first night and was painful for two days!
At least we should be covered for just about everything!
Good luck!
So long as I can still scroll I don't mind
Strange how some surgeries charge for jabs which are free elsewhere
Don't go to the Gym afterwards like my partner, it almost crippled him the next day! Must be getting old
getting the other jabs we need tomorrow dont cost anything apart from the perscription costs ps. pippy we are going on thursday next week i thought it was late in getting the jabs, i thought you had to get them about a month before you went
I went to Egypt in March - didn't have any additional jabs, maybe that's risking it but i wasn't doing anything unsafe where I might cut myself / whatever. Like many people, i came down with the old pharaoh's revenge and spent a few twilight hours sprinting to the loo but there isn't a jab to protect your from that, mre's the pity. The places we stayed were all very clean and well run. If you are backpacking, get all the jabbs you can!
We're going to Sharm in September and myself and my husband need all the jabs. Does anyone know what our two year old will need because i've looked in his immunisation record and it says h'es had the Diptheria, Tetanus and Polio at 2, 3 and 4 minths old. What else does he need if any and are they safe for toddlers to have. Also are there any risks involved by having the jabs for little ones.
my two kids 11 and 8 recently got jabs for hepatitis a and typhoid, they complained of having a sore arm for about 2 days
Had our jabs this afternoon, all got arm ache at the moment
I had my jabs about 2months ago, and I must admit neither me or my boyfriend had arm ache from any of them, and I usually suffer quite bad from "dead arm syndrome" but all fine this time!
I may have a problem as I have not seen a doctor for 20 years plus
everyone seems to say you must be registered with the doctor to get the jabs
any ideas please
