According to THIS CHART, you may not need Hep B.

Same HERE, says it's sometimes recommended.

NHS advice HERE.

Looking at the ways in which Hep B is passed on, I personally wouldn't have the vaccination as I don't think I'd be at risk.

We have just visited our docs travel clinic. My husband and I (no royal connection :!: ) had to have hep A and typhoid (one injection) and because our polio was overdue another injection combining tetanus, polio and diptheria. None of this was charged for. The maleria was not recommended for the sharm area.

Got the jabs for myself and two kids aged 13 and 17. Had to pay the £5.00 just to hand in the completed forms with holiday/travel details etc. Was advised that only needed Hep. A for all of us plus I needed the Tetanus, Diptheria ones topped up. The top ups were free. My Hep. A was £20.00 for the year's cover but if I get it topped up at the ned of that year, the top up cost is nil and gives me protection for ten years.

They don't charge for injections for under 16s. and when I pointed out my 17 yr old is still in full time ed. they didn't charge for her either. So, total was £15.00 for the 3 forms/applications and £20.oo for my hep. A.

all went to travel clinic at GPs on Thursday and self and hubby had to have Diptheria,Tetanus and Polio in one arm and Hep A and Typhoid in the other..Kids had hep A and typhoid as OK with their DTP. Had a bit of a dead arm yestarday and sore today with Dip but otherwise all OK and felt far better to be safe than sorry!

We go in four weeks and no probs with dates, didnt have to pay anything and they had put together a pack of health info for Egypt for us such as what to eat/ drink, helpline numbers, what to do if bitten, stung etc. Really useful stuff and great service!!

No need for malaria in Sharm apparently! :D

We had our vaccinations last April at the doctors, the practice nurse did them and we did not have to pay anything, (2 adults and 1 child).

Only advised Lyn  I think it probably is too late, but do check with your GP surgery tomorrow. Many people travel to Sharm without having had vaccinations.

 I,ve just been to Doctors to see about jabs - have to get Hep A & Typhoid, also 3-in-1 jab for polio, diptheria + tetenus. The Doctor gave me a prescription for myself, husband & 2 kids - total cost of £26. Getting jabs on Thursday, so have to pick up prescription from chemist less than 1 hour before jab due!

Don't know if its just in Scotland that you pay or if its the whole country.

Not looking forward to sore arm(s)!!!! :(

I had all of those injections when I went to the Domincan republic - and didn't have to pay - the only things I had to pay for were the Malaria tablets as I had to get them from the chemist.

The vaccinations - my practice nurse had them all in her fridge in her office.
