A bit overcast at the moment, nowt to do with whom to take with me to Hamsterdam :rofl (I do like it) but the clouds are a gathering - no sign of rain yet.
Thanks JennyL for the info, so it looks like a tea pot and typhoo, with tea leaf for the early morning reviver. I do not understand why Liptons is so popular over the water - all these forgein jonnies seem to think that they can make tea.
Well any one going to the American Hotel (just thought I'd name drop) in Amsterdam is certain now to be able to get real tea, in a tea pot - as I have just emailed them to book two rooms and enquired about the tea availability - it seems they remembered me (I wonder why)
Byeeeeee for now
Phil
Happy Birthday Jennie. I hope you get spoilt rotten today.

I hope you are careful who you ask for the pot in Amsterdam!
Did you not receive an itinerary and confirmation from Rise after you paid your dues? My few pages came within a fortnight of them taking the upgrade fee. How about everyone else? I wouldn't worry about it though, as you are definetely going, it just may be worth checking that they know exactly where to send your tickets!
Great to see you back Phil life on the forum has not been the same without you. Make sure you don't fall off the balcony or the wagon before your cruise Carol R.
I am not a tea drinker but I did note that the teas provided on Armonia were Twinings, many varieties, which included Breakfast, Earl Grey and Peppermint. I think I also spotted teapots on the rack where the cups are kept. There must be some tea drinkers out there who noticed!
Phil, I think it may be worth contacting R*** to ask where your confirmation is! Have a good time in Holland and hopefully you will return even more improved than last time. Have your leg and chest problems healed after your unfortunate accident?
Many happy returns JennyL
So sorry I missed it - if I'd have known I could have made a pot cake well thats what I was asked for at the class (thats what Himmlers children call it, as there are 6 of us in the same room at the time doing these painful excersises) (just like hitting your head on a wall, the pain goes, after a while once you stop).
Sorry, I have not room for you all on my rumarge into Hamsterdam,
It seems number 3 is coming - at least she is not as controling as 1 & 2, (no Kids and has days of hols left) Plus she is not asking me for a "loan" to cover her 'spending money'.
If I counted up all the loans I'd loaned out and car insurance/repairs I've paid "only till I sort out the Bank Dad", |I would not need to do the lottery, I'd have it in the Bank.
Juro. Woolies sell Spangles ! ! (I saw them today number 1 was with me so it was a "No, No, Dad No"
potifract cakes eh ! bye eck thyee werre posh girl
I had some in York, last year and was not struck on them, they give them away in the Hilton. (well they are on the reception and in the rooms). ( I ate the lot, I always bring home all the tea bags and sugar and shower stuff as well (the coven go 'Oh Dad' then swipe the lot off me) - mind you, I do not take the towels or dressing gowns).
No, no confirmation from Rise either I will get on to it once I get back from Holland, I was recommended to there by a chinese friend who has a clinic/shop in Hong Kong,
Acorrding to the brain scan, (I had the report today read to me for the first time) I have had 2 strokes, the first about 6 months ago and it seems it is not uncommon for people in their 50s to have minor ones, that may only effect the memory or perhaps just a finger or two.
I remeber getting lots of nose bleeds and the blood spurting from a pore in the bridgeof my nose once. (one of the signs, I'm told).
I am sorry to have rambled on a bit - but you are a wonderful crowd, it is only a pity we could not all go on a cruise together --' what larks eh..... what larks' ? sorry to C.D. out of context.
Byeeee for now, got to have my tea, down here they call in dinner.
lots of love to you all.
phil
So sorry to hear about the strokes. I though you were joking when you said you were waiting for results of the brain scan.
Take care of yourself and do as the doctor ordered. You need to keep well for your cruise in October.
I don't mean to worry you, but you will have to declare all these things to your travel insurance company, otherwise it will invalidate your insurance should you need to make a claim, even if it is not relatd to your pre-existing conditions.
I would definitely get onto Rise Travel regarding your confirmation as soon as possible as you should have received this when you made the booking.

I have been 'visiting' the Turkish forum and on there people are always getting told off for being off topic. Just as well we have luci looking after us as she is more tolerant.
Don't know about tolerant. I gave up trying to keep this topic "on topic" a long time ago when it descended into a free for all. I decided everyone needed a bit of light relief with all the grief that was going on with the DE and Rise at that time. Maybe I'm too soft.
I think it is sad that you need to go to Amsterdam for treatment but that's the way things are going at present - my sister has a yeast allergy and goes over to Germany for treatment as it is better and cheaper than it would be here. Anjoy your trip and come back feeling much better, so that you can be all set for your cruise.
Luci - No, you're not too soft, you are absolutely wonderful and we love you to bits.
Aw thanks Pat.
You've certainly earned your holiday Luci. Where are you off to I hope you have a lovely relaxing time.
Back on topic (sorry Luci) this time in three weeks I should be on my coach travelling to Gatwick for my early morning flight to Venice. Craig, I'm going with your date of 23rd to receive my tickets and after that, if no show, then I'll be slightly panicking!
It's a big anniversary so I'm looking forward to the complimentary champagne, roses and chocolate dipped strawberries.
Having to fly from Edinburgh to Southampton as there are no flights from Aberdeen on a Saturday and need to travel down there the night before with the flight being at 7am. Will have to try and be ruthless with the packing as I don't want any excess baggage charges from flybe.
luci
It sounds marvelous Luci. Have a super time and a wonderful anniversary
Ditto from me Luci! Enjoy it all!
Sounds fabulous, Luci - which anniversary?
which anniversary? carol
