Photos I have seen look much nicer than Blackpool or Costa Del Sol but I have not been to Sunny Beach. Can I ahve fair ciriticism and praise of this place. It looks fun, has lots of bars and to do - but if it is simply noisy and thuggish with prostitutes pestering on every street how can that be good? Oh because drink is cheap!!! Sad Brit mentality. Tell me if the place is much better than this please as I go on 19th Sept. Thanks Stuart
Let me start by saying that Sunny Beach is not really *my* ideal type of place - probably due to my advanced age and general demeanour, bah! humbug!
Having said that, on the one occasion when I spent a fortnight there, I did not observe any 'thuggish' behaviour, neither was I constantly pestered by 'ladies of the night' (rejection again! ).
As far as noise is concerned, one person's *noise* is music to another's ears - I fall into the former category, as far as some of the output from clubs such as Lazur is concerned, but a large number of people obviously enjoy it.
All in all, you will probably have a great time in Sunny Beach - as with most places, there are some negatives, but you will no doubt find that the positives far outweigh these.
Have a good holiday - I fly out to Varna the day before you.
Pozdravi,
Baldur
I found SB nothing like blackpool. Never saw any thuggish behaviour from Bulgarians ... saw it from other holiday makers though .... Some of them were a disgrace. The bulgarians that I met were lovely people. The "noise" was different music when passing bars/restaurants etc. If you were in one that was too loud, just move on, there's so many places to choose from.If we lived life thinking about all the things that MIGHT happen, we'd never leave the house. Go and enjoy it! I have 2 young sons and there was nothing during our 2 week stay that would put me off taking them again, we had a brilliant time and have already booked Bulgaria again for next year.

came back a week ago and though it wasn't my 'ideal' holiday destination, nothing really spoilt my holiday. Didn't see any of the 'ladies of the night' or any loutish behaviour.
The snakes, crocodiles and even the bear we saw on the streets was a little offputting though. If you've already booked to go here, you can be assured of a good time as long as you're determined to make the most of the sun, beach and cheap food/drink and clothes.
Nothing in Sunny Beach to be concerned about. Have a great time.
We found it to be noisy, and some locals very pushy. We did see ladies of the night plying their trade. We got a lot of hassel to go into restaurants and when we refused one man pulled a fake gun on my dad (63) ,not very funny. However most of the locals are very nice, if you have been to turkey you will find it very similar.
We have found the clothes and dvd's to be of fair quality however small electronic stuff like kids toys, laser pens and bb guns all fall to bits as the soldering inside is very poor and they fall to bits.

came back saturday,if you don't want too much noise stay a little out of the centre.i didn't see any naughty ladies either.maybe they didn't like the look of me
to compare it to blackpool is an insult to the place
there is no loutish behaviour everyone was happily enjoying themselves without the need for binge drinking
SB is far cleaner than blackpool will ever be, and the locals are also far politer
I am going to close the topic now.
