prehaps there conversation was so exciting they forgot about there food. I've eaten it alot of turkish restaurants and the turkish people have always started on there food staright away. Yes but at the palace it would of been nice to have the choice to let your food go cold

Really does explain alot, even in the italian restaurant my lasagne was luke warm, but then saying that my husbands spag bowl was steaming hot!! Strange!

On the topic of whether FC will be there next year I was on the understanding that they have got this site for 4/5 years. Also they can't do that to people (I mean any tour operator) as people will now have booked for next year, so I think this may not be the case, it must have to be done a bit more in advance than that. I know they can pull out at the last minute and change you to a diff hotel, but that is for major problems.
I am sure the ones who work in the travel agents can answer this one better.

I'm sorry and i'm not being rude towards anyone but the food at the palace was poor. Some of it wasn't cooked properly, most of it was cold but that was only because of most of the people leaving the lids off. We had food in one of the small restaurants in sarigerme and the food was served piping hot and there were locals who were eating and they ate theirs straight away.

The food in the Sarigeme restuarants was really good and hot. We encountered a lot of our fellow hotel guests there - the wrist bands are a giveaway.

I think some of you have hit the nail on the head the place is really good but too big. Hardly ever saw the same people twice which was a blessing for some of them.

We love Turkey but wouldn't go back to PP or PT we prefer the smaller hotels with the friendly staff.

Please do not worry anyone who has booked for next year, whilst the staff working out at the Palace and Tropical will probably be glad to see the back of summer 2005 season, next year will be a whole new experience! (a much better one hopefully )
First choice should be taking note of all the issues that have been raised during its first year, and with any luck will aim to improve the areas that have caused numerous complaints, IE the food quality/temperature, the sunbeds/mattresses/pool towels problems (i know this is only a problem in very high season) the beach!! and if it is possible the dreaded mossies
I feel sure they wont pull out of this property, they have invested far too much money into it, and even if they did, they would have to give you a full refund or transfer to another holiday.....so you cant loose.

Hope this helps anyone that has been worried, like i say as far as i am aware they are going to be selling these hotels for a few more years yet!

I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if FC drop this resort. Companies their size do damage limitation evaluations and with the level of complaints from this first year then who knows......? Sunworld dropped a resort (Aguamar in Calas de Mallorca) after just such a year, infections, sun beds, poor food etc etc etc. There has been too much of a stand off between Pegasus and FC ie: one blaming the other when things go wrong, so like I said and it's only my opinion I would visit your travel agent if you have booked and keep a close eye on future developments.

Hi Barnio, I think you are right, if the hotel and FC dont put things right in the next 2 years i think that FC will drop these hotels, but the most annoying thing for me was the lack of respect people had for the hotel and staff and that will be FC's downfall, the hotel and FC need to put some rules and requlations in order to stop people simply thinking they can do and say what they want in the hotel, when i was their we saw adults swaring at the chefs, barstaff, reps and reception staff, we also saw people take the beanbags out of the room and take them down to the pool, take food to the room, put their feet against the walls and leave dirty marks, whwn we went to the PT some poeple had already ripped the leather seats and carved their names on the wood on the arms of the chairs, i feel very sorry for the cleaners their beacuse the mess some people make as totally out of order, they also need a dress code for the restarants and keep to it.

I felt they needed someone in the ampithearters of a night to control the kids and there parents(well tropical anyway,wasent sure if same at palace)the entertainment staff did occasionaly get the kids to sit down,but they were nowhere near stern enough and i feel they should have been warned that if they did not sit still on the chairs to watch the show(they were talking and jumping up and down whilst acts were on putting them off,some were even running around)that they would have to go and sit with there parents,or even better stop them from sitting on the chairs at the front ....its not fair on those who wanted to watch and enjoy the shows,they would not have liked it if we got up in front of there shows im sure!!!!! just wasent enough supervision there ....

Perhaps when the price is revised for next season the rabble element may not be able to afford to go, we booked ours a month or two before we went and the price was ridiculously cheap for a fortnights AI (that should have been an indication of what to expect) so a lot of things that upset other people didn't particularly upset us as we thought we'd had a bargain. Which in all honesty I still think we did, I probably would have complained if I'd had paid the amount of money some people who booked last year paid. I'm not classing all people who got a bargain as rabble but i'm sure people who were as upset by the attitude of "those" people will understand where I'm coming from. In my opinion you don't normally associate that type with 4* hotels

hi, thats what i was saying that if the prices were to go up it may stop the riff raff going. But though who would want to pay more for a 2/3 star place because thats what it is at present.

Hi Spurs1971, i agree with what your saying, which is why I wouldn't go to this place again, despite us having a great time. I wouldn't use a holiday village again, they are to big and cannot cope with the demand and definately never use all english, I would rather visit a smaller place and get the standards and service expected from a 4*

these hotels are purpose built and are owned by FC .
there is no way they will drop them.

The palace isn't owned by FC they are contracted out to them by the pegasos group.

Thats right they are owned by the pegusus group and they own a lot of hotels in turkey according to our tour guide on one of the trips....thats who also told us they have to put in a tender each year to continue to stay there!

You might be interested to know that the Pegasos World hotel in Side which has reviews on HT, has mainly reviews from pegasos palace in Sarigerme, and NOT the hotel in Side.Anyone looking for reviews on this hotel would be really frustrated reading about Sarigerme!!
There are several reviews from 2004, which people complain mainly about the Germans, but all the reviews from this year are from PP!!
I was interested to see how the other Pegasos hotels compare to PP/PT but all I could read about was Sarigerme!!
Has anyone been to Pegasos World in Side, which was the hotel featured in this years brochure?? would love to know how this fares compared to PP.
