I think the navigator/helmsmen must have been with Lesley Phillips in the 'Navy Lark' as we seem to have turned with a bit of "left hand down a bit" and have ended up in the Artic - instead of Panama yea Gods its cold.
Tonyw we were very lucky in Naples not to have had Durham Joan with us on the day, or we may have been in the Police car. (thats a tale for after the watershed). The Captain was relieved when we disembarked at Genoa, as as audable sigh went through the ship.
Night night for now, the 5p day ebays are ending so very busy.
More photos next week, yet more revealing
Phil
Look forward to the rest of your photos Are you serious about e bay I love it
Nothing daunted, I'll keep on and on and on. Someday I'll be able to park a zimmer frame on the deck - round about 2050 I guess ! (Well, it might be a bit sooner, perhaps 2015) You've got to laugh l or you'd go crazy
Well done Mai, I have not done anything about chasing the cruise I am entitled to for ages but you have inspired me to start again and I am going to copy all the letters tomorrow and send them off to the DE. We might get our cruise by 2012 when everyone is at the olympics in London. I will need a wheelchair by then not a zimmer frame but I am determined to get my cruise even if I have to be carried on and off. Keep up the good work. Carol
Well done Mai, keep up the pressure - (for the last few postings I have changed my subject line - but no-one seems to have noticed). I have still kept all my corrispondence (copies) as well as reciepts for train travel/Telephone Bill (Thank the Lord for detailed billing) So if any one does start an action against the D.E. I will be able to support them by showing how much I actully spent to get a £10 cruise :bhead. Tonight I thought of looking up the ownership of D.E. as it no longer listed in the F.T. just to see which the parent company is - then maybe buy some shares
I'll keep you posted on that score, just as you keep us all posted as to any results or negatives you get Mai as well as you Carol (share the ups and downs and laugh along the way - by the way whats happened to Juro and the tanker
Nite nite
Phil
andylou of course I'm serious about ebay
By the way several have comented about photo 4 of the last lot I put up.
The chap on the extreme left of the shot is attempting to catch the eye of the bloke crouching down, I think he is trying to catch his eye by looking though our legs as if to say -'this was not on the schedule was it' or perhaps to ask if he 'wants a larger'
It also seems I have my Jean and Joan mixed up, well it was one or the other - the one thats not married to Bill is who it is, but the one that is; was there as well, but my flash was not so good. That should confuse everyone.
Night Night
Phil
well and truly confused, Phil - but then I am a simple soul! Nice to meet another e bay fanatic
I forgot to mention that Rebecca said that it was 'all in the hands of the directors' now. I wonder if when they all get back from their lovely cruises they'll think of us? I wonder if they have nightmares about us> I hope so!
What does 'all in the hands of the directors' mean exactly?
Sounds very dodgy to me!
The paper is owned by Desmond's Northern & Shell. The offices have moved to N&S's new London offices.

I read your message but didn't understand the shorthand. Any way you can transcribe it for me please?
Hi. Peter,
Here are the details (from the DE's Web site):
Daily Express,
The Northern & Shell Building,
Number 10 Lower Thames Street,
London,
EC3R 6EN
There's a free number on HT.
Hope that helps.

I'd never dreamed of goin' cruisin' before - so this is very exciting. Especially after all the false promises I had from our friends in Cheshire!

I think you are on the same cruise as William71, the first DE reader that we know of, was on. It was way back in January or February this year, long before anyone else travelled. Unfortunately his comments are probably on the old deleted thread but you should still find his review in the Thomson Spirit reviews using the link at the top of the page. There may be some pictures too. Needless to say he loved it and I am sure you will too!
