I think I'll settle for vouchers worth £1000, as long as the vouchers are in the form of genuine £20 notes - not things like £100 off a holiday with a brochure price of at least £1000, or £100 off the brochure price providing at least two people book, travel and are accommodated together, or £100 off provided you eat and pay for 3 meals a day in the expensive restaurant, etc, etc...

One of the new companies to do an offer with MKM was L'Oreal. I did know about this and even write about it in a previous post but had forgotten about it. Basically it was a very similar offer. Spend £10 on hair dye and get a free flight + taxes, fees etc. for one to Europe or the US.

I still can't find a website of Rise or MKM though that actually works. The old addresses have a message from a hosting company!

The vouchers are a waste of time as they are not really of any use to one person. For some reason, I received the booklet after I had been on the Melody.

Hi, well i'm back from my trip to LA,and got a few pages to catch up on, looked through all my mail that was waiting and nothing from you know who! Still hada great holiday and feel really refreshed shall now get back to the drawing board and demand my cruise!

just to add to MEH's comments - the offer of vouchers is a con. I know several people who accepted them and they turned out to be 'money-off' vouchers with no actual face value

I haven't looked on here recently but I'm glad I did today as I've managed to have a look at some of Phil's photos - thanks for posting them Phil as they brought back many happy memories. Incidentally, can someone tell me why some photos are not showing - not just Phil's but others as well. You get a reference to them, and sometimes even the caption, for example :

I do know how lucky some of us have been in actually getting a cruise, even though for some of us it was not the one we were originally allocated. I may have enjoyed the Caribbean where I was supposed to go last November but I certainly enjoyed the Med in July this year.

Keep fighting all those still waiting and it will be worth it in the end. There was a passing mention on Watchdog a few weeks ago so it may be worth giving them a reminder.

For some strange reason when the photos don't show pressing the F11 key brings them up. You then need to press it again to get your address bar back.

Don't ever try not to be clever - someone's got to be and it certainly won't be me, particularly with Latin which we didn't do at school I'll make a note of that and try to remember next time

I only remembered because it was engraved on my desk in the exam hall when I was doing my GCSE's and I thought it might come in useful in later life

Hello, everyone.

Am I the only person not clever enough to understand the Latin tag?

However, I do now understand about cruises!

Over the week-end I saw an episode of a US tv series set on a cruise liner. On embarkation, the passengers flirted with the crew who were also doing naughty things with each other. Passengers and crew mixed freely with one another - and lurve was definitely in the air - indeed, it was the main theme. The Captain allowed himself to be seduced by a passenger during the fancy-dress ball.

Now I know why so many successful cruisers have come back smiling - but I haven't seen anything about wild sex in their reports. I wonder why not? Are they keeping a secret from us?

I'm certainly rarin' to go!

Nice to see other cruises have been allocated at last, but still only two new ones.

I have now reached that stage of watching for the post everyday for my tickets. London Cabby got his a month before he left, but mine haven't arrived yet, and it is only ten days before I go. I now know how the others felt when they were waiting.... there is this little nagging doubt that grows with each day of waiting.

I will let you know when they DO turn up. If they don't, I will let WATCHDOG know!!
