If you are going for something like 4 weeks then I would buy comfortable schedule airline ticket to Bombay and then either train or internal flight to goa. Could go train one way and fly the other.
Generally flights to Bombay from London if booked early enough are about £320 incl tax return. Trains and internal flights are cheap so you should be able to do it for under £400 and have had an adventure to boot.
The cheapest return I have seen to Bombay is with Yemen Airways and is about £250 to £270 ret incl all taxes.
Charter 'flight only' tend to be more expensive the earlier you book. Schedule airlines are the opposite. Just a thought for those intending to travel later this year or early next.
can someone find me anything from any mids to goa march 6th for 7 nights one person traveling please.

SriLankan Airlines plans flights to Goa
gosh I am looking for 20th march now and cant find a thing
Travelrepublic.co.uk have avalable flights on the 19th March from Gatwick!
Vegastone looks like she has struck lucky so any chance of helping me out please???
I'm looking for Manchester to Goa 25or26 Mar returning 14or15 Apr (3 weeks)
and for hubby coming out 1 week later 30Mar/1Apr for 2 weeks.
Obviously we'd both like to fly back on the same flight.
So far I've found £330 for me and £401 for my better half. Is this good or should I hang on in there???
they only have 2 weeks on their web site.
just ask them if they can better the prices you have been quoted.
yours look good to me.
lez.
I have bitten the bullet and booked the flights. Couldn't really risk not getting back on the same flight as we live 3 hours from Manchester. Anyhow roll on 25 March

Anyone who can get away at short notice i.e the next couple of weeks have a look at First Choice for a good deal.
I had a look 21st march flight only £288 each thats good but it gives you 6 days in goa and I dont think it stops in bahrain
my travel has them for march @ £258 acc on arrival 2 weeks
lezlie..nice price but nothing for 7 nights
they do from Manchester 16 march 1 week
The reason the two week price is cheaper than the one week is probably because they have more seats left for 2 weeks than they have for 1 and at this stage it is priced on availability, the more seats left the better the price. Because the more they have to sell the bigger the reduction to ensure thay they sell them all.
the flight I am watching has dropped £40 in a week. its now £299 for 7 nights...shall I book or wait its for 20th march
Go for it! I did read somewhere that the best time to get good last minute deals is approx. 3 weeks before. Personally I would book it, at £299 it is still a bargain. You would be gutted tomorrow if it shot up £50.
well I doubt the price will go up, Ihave been watching it for a week and its going down.
went into thomas cook earlier and they had a flight with kuoni for 11/03 for 2 weeks at £293....
