Can anyone tell me how reliable the weather forecasts are. I am travelling to Playa Paraiso next sunday (19:th) for a week and the forecast talks about rain mon-thu so far. Hopefully the forecast will change over the days, but looking at it doesn't make you smile too much.
I gave up checking the weather forecasts for the Canaries years ago. I don't know where the weather station is situated for Tenerife, but it always seemed inaccurate. Bear in mind you can stand on the beach looking out to sea and see nothing but clear skies and blazing sunshine, yet turn and face the mountains and it can all look very stormy.
In addition, as I mentioned in another thread, Playa Paraiso seems to have it's own micro climate, it definitely seemed sunnier/hotter than Las Americas when we were there last Easter.
Thanks Crockett. Lets hope that you are right. Wouldn't be the same if it rained the entire week, but the chance for that happening is pretty little I hope.

Hi Hedde - the weather forecast for next 10 days is very good so I dont know where you are looking? (try http://www.wunderground.com then Tenerife sur)
WET does mean Western European Time by the way!!!
The key word is "Sur" meaning SOUTH. If you miss this out your getting the weather reports for the capital city in the north. much different climate this time of year.
