Depends how old the children are but there are some nice shops in Los Christianos. I think Zara starts quite young and there are quite a few shops around there for a bit older children

There is a "Zara" at /or at the centre that's a continuation of Americas Plaza. Can't honestly say if there is another in Los Cristianos though.

Sorry if I have mislead you as to where Zara is.
I have always considered the area to be the new side of Los Cristianos. Coming from Playa it is past the Parque Santiago area and the Mare Nostrum resort ( The big blue hotel). There are also many more other nice shops around there.
