We fly to Preveza on the 11th with Kosmar and picked our tickets up on Saturday, I`d give it another couple of days and contact either them or your to.
Thanks for that will phone in the morning. Is your flight from Gatwick? What is the flight time is it still 06:40?
Cheers TF
I`m flying from Manchester and as far as I can see my flight time hasn`t changed. It`s due to leave 9.10am and looking at this weeks flights, they left on time, so fingers crossed!
Ouch, seen this pattern of behaviour on other Greece forums, surely something should be done about a certain members approach on such threads.....
Hi Kazee,
Looks like that barbed comment is aimed at me, lets not turn this into a spitting contest as I am not sure that there is a real need for that!
In my defence I have only commented with facts based on my experience and, where I have been falsely accused of something I have required of the accuser to substantiate their claim, which they have not!
Kazee, the last post made here was on May 17th. So we are hoping that it has died down and moved on.
Now lets be fair, even handed and just here Sarah HT Admin, if you are of the opinion that I have done anything contrary to the Board Rules then I should have been told directly and if it were substantiated I would modify my "approach on such threads".
I am not sure that its ethical for Admin to imply support to another poster who indirectly makes an attack in such a way by challenging you to "do something about certain members", reminds me of Spanish and Italian footballers running around the referee waving imaginary red cards with a view to bullying him into sending a player off! Best thing is to be grown up, open and honest and say politely but firmly what you think!

There was a really successful thread on the Greece forum entitled "Where have you been in Greece, Marks out of 10? which we were all enjoying a great deal until you didn't heed Wizard's warnings and he felt obliged to close it down.

Your views on both Kosmar and Excel are well documented on this site.
Members are now asking general questions regarding Kosmar so let's move on.

I was the only one who posted on 17 May, presumably this was the post she was referring to!

Not so sure!

All people were doing was saying which Island they liked/disliked and gave marks out of 10", not debating earthquakes or whatever upset you.
Because someone dared to disagree with your view on Zante the fun was spoilt for all of us.
Perhaps a more subjective reading of my post would have given a different opinion than the above! And no, my post was not as a result of "someone" daring "to disagree with" me at all, my post was in response to their post! Read the thread again!
I have a particular soft spot for Zante and when I think it is being unjustifiably ridiculed because:
1. The beach was empty
2. Most of the Shops were closed
3. There was an earthquake
I felt it necessary to respond and say:
1. Would a packed beach have been more to your liking, I did stop short of asking why was it necessary to have an audience
2. It was after all late season, hence limited shops etc. I did stop short of asking why one would wish to fly to Greece and then judge the place on its retail potential
3. The Ionian Islands are the earthquake capital of Europe and I was astounded that the threat of a tremor or two came as such a huge surprise
I am sorry to say, but the reason for Zante being so poorly reported was a talking point in my opinion, your opinion clearly differs but I maintain my response was apt! How can you slate a place because it had an empty beach, shopping did not meet expectations and there was a tremor! It was October for gods sake and the Ionian Islands have tremors, we all know that ........................................................ dont we?
Come on now, surely you must accept it was a series of silly points which prompted someone to be so critical of a place!
Wizard's warnings and he felt obliged to close it down.
And that was an action of Wizard and not me!
the fun was spoilt for all of us.[/
"Fun", its a pleasing way to pass the time and obtaining information but I would stop short of calling it fun!

Come on people there is enough grief in this world without arguing on a holiday forum
Anyway back to Kosmar, tickets arrived today and no flight changes from when we booked.
Cheers TF
Comfortably Numb
I have travelled with Kosmar for the last six years, all from EMA and yes on the ill fated Rhodes flights last year, but that didn't stop me travelling again with them in October 05 to spend my 40th birthday with my friends.
Yes I have experienced delays (long ones), yes I have experienced landing during a flight (Kefalonia 04 return journey, had to land in Italy to refuel) not being a good flyer this was a nightmare, but still I booked again.
Yes we have had basic apartments, but all I need mine for is sleeping, showering and getting ready to have some fun.
Kosmar is cheap, and I think thats why people book again and again with them.
When you price up simalar holidays with other operators they work out very expensive in comparison.
Kosmar for me is a means to an end and that end is Greece, Rhodes in particular.
Going again with Kosmar 15 July and really looking forward to it. This year flying with British Midland but it depends how many aircraft the chartered as to wether we will get a delay. Last 2 Saturdays they have been delayed, but as soon as I am at the airport it is the start of my holiday.
Happy Holidays to you all.
Sarah
We have been using Kosmar now for about 6 years and for the same reasons.
Last year we did have a bad experience we were on the Scandic flight to Zante 6 hour delay from Stansted and I did say at the time I would not go with them again but as you quite rightly say they are very good value for money we had a very good apartment and an excellent holiday so one bad flight in 6 is not to bad overall I suppose!
I understand that Kosmar are now owned by XL so hope this improves the flight schedules.
12 days to go

Sorry Galleon, you stating that you were on that you were on that Rhodes flight, experienced long delays and experienced unscheduled landings in Italy only supports my comments of:
1. A general acceptance of a poor standards
2. Is it only in the UK that such a service is accepted as the norm
Kosmar is cheap, and I think thats why people book again and again with them.
Dunno about that.

OK for some, I prefer having peace of mind.

Excel were the KOSMAR carriers before becoming the new KOSMAR owner and as the carrier it was they who dictated the flight schedules, KOSMAR really were not a factor! I cannot see why Excel being in charge "improves the flight schedules"!
Anyway, I hope you have an good journey (both ways) and a good holiday.

Assuming this is still the Kosmar forum and I haven't accidentally ended up in the complaints forum by mistake can anybody provide a promotional discount code for use on their website booking page.
The web site is http://www.kosmar.co.uk
I have booked direct online for last 3 years and had no problems, but I have known were I have wanted to go.
The only thing is that when I used to use my local Travel Agent they used to remind me when my balance was due, but if you book direct with Kosmar you have to remember the date your self.
It's also worth noting that payment made by which ever means has to reach them by the said date, not like walking into the Travel Agents and paying on the day.
I have never had cause to complain and am going again 6 weeks on Saturday to Rhodes.
Our Reps have always been great.
Enjoy browsing and I hope you find somewhere to go.
Regards
Sarah
Anyone flown Kosmar to Kalamata this year. Just wondering is there any problems with flights
Hi
We will fly from Newcastle, I had noticed the problems from EMidlands, hope NCL will be ok
