Hi Everyone,
I found this website invaluable when I was organising my wedding for April 06 so I thought I would pass on some tips.
My husband and i got married in Yermosoyia Town Hall in Limassol on 11th April 2006, we stayed in the four seasons which was amazing.
Initially when we were looking for information we were recommended from someone on this site to contact Evelyn from Cyprus4weddings.com who is British but lives and works as a wedding coordinator in Cyprus. The first time we got an e-mail back from her we felt at ease she explained everything to us from the complex issue of documentation to flowers to match our colour scheme. We kept in contact continously in the run up to the wedding and she gave me her contact details for when we got over there to arrange a meeting. We took our own table decorations and favours etc over as we wanted a Scottish theme and Evelyn used these to decorate the tables and she also decorated the restaurant which we used, she helped me pick my flowers, arranged a hairdresser and beautician to come to my hotel and even dropped the crossage's off at my mother in laws hotel on the morning of the big day. We honestly couldn't have done it without her input and help which made the whole day go so fantastic. I have lots of pictures if anyone would like to see images of yermasoyia town hall. There are lots of good night-spots in Ayia Napa, I would recommend Black & White, Carwash, Ice & Castle Club. For restaurants, I would recommend Marquis De Napa, Flames or Blueberrys.

Just seen your pics and they are absolutly beautiful....getting me excited now
I have also book through first choice holidays and am going to see if I an get the same photographer as yourself, may see if I can connect the rep in Protaras.
I am also wanting to get some sunset photos...I was so worried as I had heard reports that the photographers that first choice used were a bit dodgie, but after seeing your, I no longer have any worries...
The only other thing I was concerned about was the size of my dress, being out in the hot sun...You dress looks to be about the same size as mine...how did you find it??? travelling with it - did it go in the hold on the plane??

Your photo's are amazing, is the restuarnt you mentioned near to nissi bay, we are getting married at the Nissi beach and would like to find somewere for a small reception. Hope your reception over here went well. Did your wedding dress go in the hold, how hot was ot over there?

firstly, can I just point out that I was the 'groom' so I can't really comment on how I found the dress
However, my wife did lose some beads on the base of her dress when going up to Cape Greco ( where sunset photos were taken ) and the base of her dress did get very dirty underneath. It has now been cleaned and you'd never know it had been worn and you can't notice that the coupl of beads are missing.
Also, because the dress was big we had to pack it in suitcase along with my suit and two bridesmaid dresses and we put fragile stickers on it and put it through the hold where they store pushchairs etc....It came out perfectly fine and just needed pressing which the hotel did for us.

Your wedding pics are gorgeous, you said that you booked your photographer through first choice. Did you use first choice for your flowers and cake? and who did you arrange your hair and make-up with or did first choice arrange this also, if so who actually did your hair and make-up??

We are stopping in the G.Sands Hotel for my wedding in 4 weeks time. Could anyone tell me if there is a nail shop by the hotel? I would like to get my nails done before the wedding day.

As far as I know there is no nail technician near Grecian Sands. maybe the hotel can refer you to somebody, as I believe there are a number of nail technicians in Ayia Napa. If all else fails, I can always refer you direct to one of our nail technicians who I could get to meet you in Ayia Napa. Ask the hotel first & let me know if you need any help.

Check with them first to see which tour operators they use and / or recommend. It should not be a problem to sort our your flights from Belfast.

ltb - Yes, first choice supplied the cake ( as part of the package - 1 tier is free ) and the bouquet - to upgrade to lillies it was £45 ( i think ) but as you can see the bouquet was fantastic and better than the one we had for photos back here at our recption. The grecian sands also has a salon that does hair and make up. Angeline did my wife's hair in about 45 minutes,also did the 2 bridesmaids. She was absolutely fantastic and you can tell she has done thousands of wedding hair. Go to the grecian sands website and her email should be on there - definately book with her. My wife did her own make up but angeline does it also.
Saraht - Angeline called a friend in who was a nail technician to do her nails the morning of the wedding. My wife wasn't very impressed with the job to be honest but they looked fine to me and as you can see from the ring photos they look ok...but then again I am a bloke so what would I know!!!
