Hello all brides to be - I've been checking out the useful comments on this site for a while and decided it was time for me to register now that my wedding is drawing closer and closer! We are getting married at the Capo Bay, Protaras at 4.15pm on 2 October with 25 guests, we booked through Olympic Holidays. Like many of you have commented, although you want as many people as possible to join you for your big day, it is quite nice to have some privacy too which is why our guests are coming over for one week for the wedding whilst me and my hubby to be will be there for a fortnight.
I had my first dress fitting at the weekend which has made me more excited! Just the worrying thought of packing it now, apparently this can be taken as extra luggage but I have been advised to check this out with the airline - must add that one to my to-do list along with obtaining the affidavit and full birth dertificates!
Olympic so far have been great, they have responded to emails very quickly and have confirmed our requests for the reception arrangements (we are having cypriot dancers followed by a DJ in the Capo Bay Pavillion) which they are arranging for us. A couple of guests have had their flight times changed but I suppose that can't be helped. So, Olympic have been, so far so good - watch this space - I hope they keep up the good work!
We are thinking of having the Cypriot Meze menu for the reception, can anyone comment on this? It looks nice although we can't quite work out what half of the food is! Hopefully, there should be something for everyone - even the fussy eaters!
Any advice, comments, feedback or just helpful tips about the Capo Bay and their weddings would be appreciated. I am happy to help our with any pre-booking wedding queries if I can! Good luck to everyone getting married in Cyprus over the next coming months.
