Went to Club Anastasia for a week in May, and found a few local bars were doing good deals especially September bar where you buy one drink get one free, and Dominos restaurant buy one drink get one free and if you dine in the evening you get breakfast free.
Returning to Club Anastasia on 7th August and would be interested to know if these offers still exist or what the prices are like now that it's peak season. Any replies would be appreciated.

Hiya all,

been looking for somewhere to go in October this year, would people generally recommend Marmaris, or is starting to close down by then? (found a package holiday for 288 for 2 people - bargain, if the place isn't closed for winter :) )

Whats the weather like around that time?

Thanks in advance

Amy

It'll be a darn sight better than the weather at home. I've been on a gulet into the first week of October and it was still pretty good.

I got B&B for £252 each in Marmaris flying out Sept 27th for 2 weeks. That is with Goldtrail. Its still open in October, but according to threads you get some good bargains as its the last weeks of the season.

Hi Al321
just came back last week from a week in Marmaris with Goldtrail. I had no problems with them.
Link to my review underneath if you want a read.

Thats for your help everyone, sounds like it'd be perfect! Been to Turkey the last two years in July/August..so it'll be nice to see it slightly differently.

I was just concerned that it might be dead as the prices I've been finding are pretty cheap (they can't win, if it's cheap I get suspicious, and if it's expensive I moan!)

How longs the transfer from Dalaman Airport to Marmaris please?

Mary, thanks for the link to that review...I'd heard bad things about Goldtrial previously, but I'll now look at the website, thanks a lot :)

Amy, what date are you going? I fly out Sept 27th.

Not sure yet Mary, still looking at prices, reviews, etc. (Sometimes I hate the internet, it used to be so much easier when you'd just walk in a travel agents and blindly book  I spend weeks looking at stuff on the net! )

Its either going to be the 4th of Oct (with Thomas Cook staying at the Kaan Apartments), or the 8th of Oct with Goldtrail, though some of the review on here cast Goldtrail in a bad light. I don't go on holiday to be treated like dirt...and it sounds like some people have. :? Your review sounds fine though.

Where are you staying? I've never been to Marmaris so don't know the areas or which area is the best place to stay in

Thanks

I am staying at the Senfoni hotel this time, good and bad reviews have been written about it, but I generally just use them as a base. Out all day, shopping, sun bathing, eating, sampling some efes (local lager) then back for a shower before going out in the night. As long as the bed is clean and relatively comfortable I dont mind.
I agree with you about it being easier going into a travel agent, and I phoned a few off the internet, but by the time they add on taxes and transfers etc, they are not as cheap as they first look. I have gone through the Travel Agent with Goldtrail.

Thats exactly the same as me, not bothered about the hotel, so long as I can rest after a hard night

Still looking on the goldtrail website, there are some really cheap deals to be had on there. It seems to be one of the biggest complaints people have is about the return airport transfer being too long before the flight, so I'm thinking of getting a independant transfer sorted.

I did the same, phoning companys...got the standard 'well that £150 holiday is no longer available, but we have got one at the reduced cost of £60000000000000' ok, so thats exaggerated slightly, but still, like you said the price rockets enormously

Think I'll bite the bullet and go for it...just double checking, is there enough clubs/bars still open in October? As I'm the one booking it for me and 3 friends (we're all mid 20s) I'd be the one who's moaned at if it's dead

Apparantelly they are all still open from what I have read on here, end of October they close. Cant wait for the bargains.
Go girl, go book it
