Hello,
Are there no free watersports? It says in my first choice bumf that the kayaking is in with the all inclusive - is that correct?
Also, when you go up to get drinks/food etc - are you restricted to 1 drink and 1 plate of food per person - or can you order 10 drinks and 15 chicken wraps?
Not that I would want to get all that stuff in 1 go - but we have 3 children and wonder if we could each get stuff for all of us.
Sorry if this sounds obvious but I have never done all inclusive before!
dont know about the kayaking but as for the drinks and food we were getting 2 or 3 at a time and you can get all your meals at once at the pool bar but that gets very busy at dinner the buffet restaurant upstairs had much more choice and wasnt as busy plus there was air conditioning.
we were told that the upstairs part of the restaurant was for over 14s only, don't know how strictly they stick to that.
I cant see there being a problem we never heard that children werent allowed in some restaurants on the palace side.
are they free? are they any good? i am unfit but usually force myself to do aqua aerobics once or twice on holidays and could maybe force myself to do yoga or pilates in the shade before my three course meal!
not sure if its worth putting my trainers in the case and taking up valuable space I could use for bringing back some lovely lovely handbags!
didnt here about pilates or yoga but they did aqua arobics a couple times a week that looked quite easy they do half hour sessions
we didn't have a problem with the restaurant being for over 14s, i tend to think that had i not been there with younger children i would have quite liked a restaurant where they weren't allowed. we didn't experience any problems with queues at mealtimes, sadly if you saw a queue it tended to be for the chips!
we are going to the Pegasus Palace at the beginning of August - so glad that the reviews seem to have improved dramatically on last year! I have a question about money - I dont really want to take lots of cash so wondered if anyone could advise whether travellers cheques are easily changed or accepted and if so, whether it is best to take Sterling travellers cheques or a mix of Sterling travellers cheques and Turkish cash? Any advice anyone can give would be much appreciated.
Also - I assume the children's activities are bookable once you are out there rather than just booking before you go?
thanks everyone
does anyone know if the skateboard park is up and running this year?
The skateboard ramp is ready, but no one played on it because nobody would bring a skateboard to Turkey would they? Seems a really odd thing to have there rather than a playground!?
my son loves skateboarding and really wants to take his
Can you tell me a bit more about jeep safari, please, is it possible with 2-years old? and what trips we could have with our 2-years old?
Thank you
The gulet cruise is good for young ones though.
Does anyone know the details of what non-motorised watersports are part of the AI - and how you book then? Nobody seems to talk about this aspect of all inclusive on this forum!
This is my first all inclusive holiday and an unsure of the procedures.
Also, with reguard to the resteraunt for over 14s only, I paid full price for my 13 year old so I hope this is not the case!
we went in oct last year and stayed in the tropical, we are returning on monday and staying in the palace, everyone was allowed in all the restaurants last year however we only ate at the palace once, i too have paid full price for my 12 year old so we'll see when we get there i guess
as for the watersports... the only watersports there was when we were there were the ones orginised by some lovely turkish men on the beach that were not part of first choice but they were reasonably priced and very good at their job and friendly and they will haggle at prices a bit too you will have a great time, we always go all inclusive, you soon get the hang of what you can and cant have and if you get stuck just ask someone. when did you say you were going?
hayley
There are seatbelts on the jeep but just lap belts my daughter sat next to me and i just kept my arm round her when needed.
hope this helps
In the Palace, I don't know about the Tropical, it is only one part of the restaurant that is reserved for over 14's, (the upstairs area) there is a big inside restaurant and a big outside restaurant that any age can eat in. As far as I know the same food is served in all of them, with the exception of the early kids buffet which is only downstairs, (and which my children refused to go near as a matter of pride).
Just wondered if it would be worth doing on the way back to beat the rush at check in?
Has anyone done this?
