May i make a suggestion to you......A1 does restrict you to the hotel a lot of the time, and sometimes the food is pipping hot. But there are an array of restaurants all open air or in air-condioning rooms to eat fabulous food. Plus eating out is so cheap, you will defiantly pay more for all inclusive.
If however you do decide to stick with A1.....booking it at the hotel will most proberly be a cheaper option and you can sample the food on a day to day basis instead of committing yourself to 2 weeks. Especially as the food is repeated on the 2nd week.
Its a great night out sampling all the restaurants and huntng around the shops.
We stayed at the Sonesta Beach Resort which does do A1, but we had just breakfast and have been there twice now, and we shall keep going back, fabulous, anyway, you walk along a promenade for 20 mins to the centre of Sharm passing beach restaurants and shops and trips to book. Then you hit the mall and restaurants etc.
Some of the all inclusive are in remote areas, if you want a quiet holiday then thats great. But you will require a cab to get you into Sharm, or else there isnt that much to do, apart from listening to the hotel entertainment.
Where you you choose....i am sure you will all have a great time
