Hi Rob,

we're coming out for 2 weeks in November (tba) and I'm busy collecting Christmas presents for you. Hopefully we can manage the luggage as I'm a light packer (no, really!! ) and I've sent round your link to raise some awareness. Keep up the good work

Hi Helen...

Look forward to meeting up... Not sure how Christmas is going to go.. We're aiming on 1000 presents, which might take a while to give out... Last year there was 500+ and we were busy for 10 hours over two days and it was exhausting... The problem is I don't really want to split up and have two sets of volunteers going as I want to be there to see EVERYONE's face!!! It's the best part of Christmas watching their faces light up!!! First problem first though is wrapping them up!!! :?

Thanks for passing on our link... BTW Anyone who is interested can vote for us (daily on)

Rob and Shermina... its only a matter of weeks to we all come to Goa ...can I ask you will you make a list of what you both think you will need us to bring across with us ...NOT....clothes for the children but other things that you need :?:
I know you do want clothes for the children age 5yrs and older and I know most people will bring them for you but will you let us know what you need us to bring apart from clothing for the children :?: ....(colleen)

Make that 11 things Colleen as I believe Rob is partial to a nice chunk of strong Cheddar cheese

For things for the children there's a basic list on our luggage page (at the bottom ( http://www.childrenwalkingtall.com/Luggage.htm )

Thanks feelthevibe, CHeese is nice! We never expect anything for ourselves, but if you really want to bring something then (cheese, dilute pop, lincolnshire sausages... Yum!) there are a few things we miss from the UK... But we would rather you brought small presents for the children.... :)

Hi Rob

Is it best to PM you regarding what items to bring out etc. We fly out Sunday 12 November. My sister has lots of little gifts, might be handy for Christmas presents for some of the children. Dont mind helping with some of the wrapping up as well (will even supply some Xmas wrapping paper!) :D I might even persuade Irishcolleen to come along to the wrapping up as well. We travel at more or less the same time and are staying at the same hotel.
You can let me know whats best.

Just thought i would let you all know that we have been able to secure an extra 5kg per person (x4) allowance to take gifts out at xmas.

We managed this by letting Children Walking Tall apply to the airline on our behalf.

So if you think you may need extra allowance for those gifts you will be bringing for the orphans, fill in the form now.

Xtra Luggage is normally asked for a few weeks before you fly (otherwise the airlines get inundated all at once....) Mel is now on the job and seems to be doing quite a good jobs, some have managed 50Kg, some 5 or 10kg each... Some none! But I think they're still being generous this year...
