Andy,

That sounds about right to me. It's only a number, as long as you have a seat on the aircraft, thats all that matters!

The flight numbers from Manchester change from May 1st so most of them will be FCA1**. (For longhaul only)

Still the same principle though, even number of outbound, odd for inbound.

:D I'll fly premier star class to PMV next February and my english isn't bad though, I wonder if the onboard entertainment system will be able to change the language of the movies......... :?:

I'm from Germany and it would be easier for me and my wife to watch the movies in german.

Anyone has some information ?

Thanks in advance !!!

BTW - DARREN, Your flight reports are excellent, each time I read one I wonder on what You spent more time: Your vacations or writing the reports........

Cheers !!!

You can't change the language I'm afraid, just english.

I can type fast! They don't take that long, couple of hours then add the photo's. My Onur Air trip report will be on in the next couple of days.

Thanks for the fast answer DARREN - think I'll understand about 70 % of the movies even in english.

But my wife won't - so I'll have to order her plenty of drinks from the bord bar to let her fall into sleep very soon..........

No, I'm just kidding, too much alcohol is not good on a long haul flight so she must play 9 hours SPIDER & FREECELL.........

Why Has G-OOAF Been Withdrawn From The Fleet?
Reply
jamz1107,

G-OOAF, A321-211 has left the First Choice fleet (I believe it was leased rather than owned by FCA). Its been sold / leased to My Travel and will be re-registered G-OMYK. It'll be going in the paint shop very soon. MYT have also aquired a Thomas Cook A320-214, G-BXKB which will be re-registered to MYT as G-OMYA. I flew on G-BXKB last year!

All of the A321's are being returned eventually to there lessor and then onward to other airlines, which means no more premium short haul very shortly.

So Will They just Be Using Their 757s And 320s To The Short Haul Routes?

Oooo

I Could Be Flying On G-OMYK Hopefully On My Flight To FUE Then =)

hi everyone
been reading this topic over the past few days!

anyway, im going to Dom Rep in September and ive upgraded to star class premier, ive noticed that baggage allowance is 23kgs, does anyone know why this is and why dont they offer 30kgs anymore?!
Reply
Think it is regarding health and safety of the baggage handlers.

B.A. also have 23kg limit so I am sure other airlines will follow.

oh ok then. thanks for your help!
23kgs is fine with me anyway

Good Afternoon
Last year we flew to Crete with My Travel and were able to check in the night before which was bliss. We stayed at Bewleys and just walked over
This year we are flying to Cuba with First Choice. Does anyone know if we can do this again? They phoned us up trying to flog us extra legroom and seats together but couldn't confirm the check in as "they are not our carrier"
I thought they were if they are trying to flog us extras
Please move or merge if this is in the wrong place. Thanks.

One for Dazbo, please

Could you possibly tell me where the screen is situated for seats facing a bulkhead in Star Class Premier - is it on the bulkhead in front of you or from a screen that is fitted to the armrest?

Only reason I ask is that I booked in July '06 for an August '07 departure so according to other posts which state the seat allocation is in booking order I think there's a reasonable chance we could be right at the front (there's 4 of us, I guess 2 then 2 behind on one side or the other)

cozzyleicester,

Your personal IFE screen is located in the arm rest along with your tray table.

Have a great holiday,

Darren - spot on, thank you

With the summer season kicking off this week it will be interesting to see how the 763 fleet stands up to what I suspect will be a pretty intensive operation....

cozzyleicester,

No question about it, the FCA fleet is going to be busy this summer but with the addition of an extra aircaft, I'm sure they'll cope.

It is very rare for all 6 to be operational in 1 day, i believe its just one day a week when they are.

Hi all :D

Sorry, haven't looked through the 60-odd pages of this thread so I apologise if this has been asked before.

We're travelling Gatwick to Larnaca (Cyprus) on Sunday with First Choice.

I have a few questions please!:-

1. Does anyone know what aircraft it will be?
2. Is there a TV on board (have a 4 year old son that will need entertaining lol!)
3. We'll be taking our own food - we assume this is allowed?
4. Will we get seats together? I'm a nervous flyer and DH wants to sit with me and son!
5. Will we be waiting around at Larnaca for a couple of hours to depart to hotel? DS is hyperactive, so I'm not sure he (or us!!) could cope with this!

Any other info gratefully received.
