Hi Fenderman

Sorry for delay but only just noticed your post. I used to stay in the Sur when I first started going to Cala Bona - its very different now. Tony is still in Cala Bona (or was last year) working as a waiter in the pavement bar at the Hotel Cala Bona (I do miss their unique versions of Elvis). Hector works in the bar of the Hotel Moreyo (directly across from Pago) - say hello to him but don't let him show you his computer - you'll have to watch the 'hand of god' goal several times

. Raul (also known as George - for some reason) had to return to Argentina for family reasons.

Hi Tippi,
I must call in the Cala Bona and the Moreyo to see them.Had a good time chatting about music and guitars with Tony,Rual and Hector.Do you know if Tony is still working with his duo?I know Tony has lived in Cala Bona for many years.
Really looking forward to August.

Unfortunately Toni hasn't been working with the other two since the Sur changed hands. Whether they get together unofficially I don't know. As CBG says, the Pago does have entertainment on although it is much more 'professional'. Having said that - last year they did have a resident guitarist on an afternoon if you like guitar music. I'm going back to Cala Bona in August too, can't wait but I do miss the old Sur, although I must be in a minority because it certainly does pack people in.

Thanks for the info.I'll have a good look around.Last time I was there there was plenty of entertainment to choose from.Just got watch out for the Kamikazi cyclists on the prom :lol:

our tickets arrived today. I am now getting very exited going to cala millor on the 22 may staying in the cristina apartments. We stayed there last July and had a fantastic time

Be sure to post an extensive review Ionobingo. We go to the Cristina in September - only 124 days to go :roll:

. Have heard some amazing reports. To be honest, can only find one bad one --on another site-- and thats just some "person" moaning about the another nationality !

Hope you have a great time. I cant wait to go. Looking forward to hearing if it is any different this year.

Hi, we couldn't in feb this year. We didn't go through security immediately as there is a balcony which has an open roof & they have loungers out there, you are allowed to smoke up there. But not anywhere after security. Unless it has changed since feb!!

Hi All
I find myself with an extra weeks holiday and was hoping for someone to recommend a nice apartment. As I am a wheelchair user I need somewhere flat and fairly close to shops and restaurants. If anyone can help Iwoud appreciate it. My week will start on June 23rd.

We go out on the 31st may, staying at crisitna apartments cala millor, cant wait, I am soooooooo excited it's like being a kid again only 20 sleeps to go!

Have a good holiday Fluffysue. Hope your going to put a review of the Cristina Apts on when you come back. We go in September (not much longer now :roll:

) and cant wait. It would be nice to have some updated reviews to look at though to see if things have changed much over the last few months.

I will post a reply as soon as I return, I too would like to read a few more recent reviews on this accomodation before I go, although most people have only good things to say about them.

Thanks Sue. I have only read good reports on them as well. In fact, the only bad one I read was from someone moaning about other nationalities within the resort of Cala Millor, which I don't consider a complaint. Roll on September.

Just back from Majorca and NO you can't smoke in the airport.

There was no smoking in our hotel either.

Not long now - flying at 2.45 tomorrow afternoon to Palma Nova. Can't wait for a week of laying on the beach, eating and drinking. Been about 3 times before so know what to expect - really excited.

Bahia Azul

Fenderman, have just been looking through some old posts and I think that we will be at the Bahia Azul for some of the time that you are. We will have to try and say hello. We are a party of five. Won't be on the same flights though, we are from the South and I see that you are from the North. Looking forward to hearing what Calabonagirl has to say about the place. We are only staying for a week so want to be well planned to make the most of the stay. August can't come quick enough for us at the moment, we just want some more sun!
