 Today I was waiting for a friend's arrival at Berlin airport TXL. Because his flight was late and the weather was fine I decided to spend some time on the visitors terrace.

And guess what I saw there......... yes, a FIRST CHOICE A320 !!!

FCA6644 arrived there on SUN 29.04. from GLA and FCA6445 departed on MON 30.04. to GLA - as far as I know there are no regular schedulled flights from Scottland to Germany with FCA........... :?: :?: :?: - and usually in- and outbound operate on the same day.........

So was this a special flight ? Maybe with FCA officials staying one night in Berlin to check out german market focussing the fusion of FC & TUI for new shorthaul destinations?

Anyone has an idea......... :?: Anyway, nice to see FCA here in Germany.

Cheers !!!

Frank3764,

I've no idea why it was there. It was probably a charter for someone.

:) DARREN -

I expected that answer - seemed to be something unusual.

When I was leaving the airport I passed the people standing in the check in row but I didn't take the chance to ask somebody because that time I did not realize that it was an unregular flight...........

BTW, before this I was even able to watch the crew entering the plane by stairs at its park position and I have to admit the flight attendants are looking quite nice in there pink uniforms....... :P
Think I won't get another chance any soon to see FCA here in Berlin...

Just wondering Dazbo / BeFree if one of the 763's has gone tech today at LGW, FCA34 to SFB sched departure 09.55, still showing not departed at 14.00....

Looks that way unfortunatly. First Choice have had a number of problems since Tuesday with tech aircraft, a small number of flights have been delayed.

It is scheduled to leave at 4:10pm.

Does anyone know when FC are finally leaving Cardiff. The press release is a bit unclear as to whether they are pulling out for the winter 07/08 and then one plane for the summer 08 season or pulling out for good from nov 08?

There used to be a page you could go to on the First choice web site with the details of the films shown in flight etc but I dont know where its gone?

Maybe someone coming back from holiday soon will tell you.

With regards to the films shown on flight First Choice used to try and update every couple of months but couldnt guarantee exactly when in the month it would change although i think 7-10 days was about right. So for example the films would be changed for all feb and all march then about 10 days into april would change again but this wasnt typically the case on all flights . the web would have new info for april but the films wouldnt be effective until the 10th so by now not advertising changes there is no requirement to do it.I seem to think casino royale was one of the films being shown last month.

Casino Royale was on the "upgrade" version in April (either Star Class premier or star class if you paid the additional £5)

kids watched Night at the museum ,happy feet, stormbreaker and I honestly can't remember what else (was too busy trying to beat the bloke 2 rows back on the anagram game, then got hooked by bejewelled). something about the three degrees???

We had same film selection both ways (travelled outbound on April 3rd, back on 18th)

We're flying with FC on the 27th of May on the way to our cruise in the Caribbean. I'm presuming that this is a charter and not a scheduled flight? The flight number is FCA38.

Can anyone with the right info tell if the flight is full or not?

Thanks,

Peter O

Pould,

Your flight'll be a standard charter flight and operated with one of their excellent Boeing 767-300ER's.

Can anyone with the right info tell if the flight is full or not?

I'm not at liberty to say. Have a read of this thread.

I understand that Cardiff closes as a base on 31st October (it has only been a summer base anyway) - & I'm afraid it's a permanent situation - the same appies to Luton BTW.

Exeter opens as a year-round base on 1st November in lieu - but possibly not much help to you!!

Thanks Darren - I appreciate the point on seat availability.

Just to get this right, the plane has been chartered for the cruise line and will therefore ONLY have cruise line passengers on board?

Thanks,

Peter O

Quite possibly. Where is it you're flying to? I'll check the schedule for you.
