What's this about suncream people? Never heard of it before!!
Be very surprised if there's a sun cream rep there, It's such a small resort that it's probably not worth their while.
I've just bought some of asda's own brand on special offer - I prefer the expensive aloe vera stuff, but it doesn't matter, I'll get some next time I'm over in the Canaries, it seems more popular over there.Be very surprised if there's a sun cream rep there, It's such a small resort that it's probably not worth their while.
I bought some books (3 for £5) from The Works yesterday, cheaper than buying a paper every day - although I'll probably still buy newspapers anyway as long as they're availableI'm sure it's just because it's early in the season that you can't get newspapers just now.
Is anyone going the same time as me (8-22 Aug)?
Here is the E:mail address of the excursions shop in San Miguel, Jason E:mailed the price list to me last year...Perhaps if you E:mail him he will do the same for you...Hope this is of help to you...jason@ ibizacovered.com
I will try and answer a few of your questions.
Bar staff still all the exact same so if you have friends that are staff then you will meet them again for sure. The main Bar person I speak to is Ritchie who is in the SM Club bar in the mornings, very spanish looking little guy but his dads from Stirling in Scotland. I will ask Ritchie or Zorro who the SM club manager is for his email address.
Sun Cream, I have seen no reps for such a thing at all.
The Shop you asked about Mick is still there and open I was at the one next to it yesterday for news papers which are now available and I looked into the excursion shop.
The cove bar area is now used by naturists or nudists, I went over yesterday to see if the bar was running yet and got a surprise
Entertainment is moving to the Western tonight thankfully as its very hot here way more than the weather reports on Tv or internet.
The Girl from Zorro's team is now here, Natasha her name is.
Ok people gotta go get a drink later,,,
John
is edita working again in the western saloon - she was the blonde polish girl
Sorry to be a pain, but is the English guy working in the Western Saloon again, his name was Joe! Thankyou
There is no English guy working in the Western bar, there was none in Sept 2006 that I knew of. There is a non spanish girl in the Western she just started the other day but she is very dark not blonde, a real nice girl though so I will ask her today about the girl you asked about.
Internet use! Important!
Do not use the internet ports in the SM Hotel or Beach Club, go across the road to the place next to the car hire place its called "Ibiza Excursions" you can get on brand new Dell PCs, comfortable seating, clean desks for 1.50 Euro per 30 minutes you may even be able to plug in your digital camera to upload pictures to places such as Yahoo Photos so your family can see your pics within a few days of you being here.
Ok gotta go, just got a Sunday mail so am off to the bar for a read n drink.
take care
john
hi john - is this dark girls name arianna - the italian girl from last year or is this girl completely new
I asked at the Western if the girl was Arianna and the bar guys said in rough English that a girl of that name worked there but as she has not been there the last few days I cannot be sure she is the one of if they meant a girl of that name had worked there in the past
Someone Pmed me to ask about the Happy Friar, The British bar.
It is still there are ran by Toby and his family, I walk there most afternoons for a quiet beer or two, he has three or four football games on at the weekend via satellite on three screens inc a projector, they still do a smashing Sunday lunch of roast beef with Yorkshire puddings etc which must be prebooked. In the afternoons Toby puts on CBBC for my son which keeps him very happy and gives me some peace, a very nice bar run by excellent people and the Disco is straight below it for anyone wanting a night of dancing, which is not me.
Ok gotta go.
John
its rare - what price are the thomson excursions this year ?
just wondering if someone could tell me if the car hire place in the resort has good prices and what kind of cars they have, would it be cheaper to hire from somewhere busier or the airport? Also we have 3 children a 2 year old a 10 year old and 15year old with the huge age differences i would just like to know if there is lots for them all to do,do they have swimming lessons for children? its our first time to this resort we're going in about 3 weeks!
I can't comment on the car hire or swimming lessons, but there is plenty to do for the two older kids and Zorro and the gang make sure everyone gets involved. For your two year old there is a very good playpark and a baby and toddler pool along with the kids club.My fifteen year old daughter absolutely fell in love with the place last year. The entertaiment team and the bar staff are excellent and i'm sure like most people on here you will love it as well.
Hi, the best car hire place i found last year was by the Happy Friar. I hired a MPV for the day for about £70.00, cant remember the name of the place but its just to the right of the Happy friar as you walk down the hill...You may try & hire one from your travel agent before you go, they sometimes do good deals.Thats what i have done this year...Hope this helps...
If you Pm me your email address I will send you a price list for the excursions available from "Ibiza Excursions" which is across the road from SM beach Club entrance, its way cheaper than the Thomsons trips and ABTA bonded, run by owned and ran by English people who live in San Miguel.
CIGs! In the village of San Miguel next to the church a shop sells 200s for 25 Euros, you can get the bus from here up to the village for one Euro or walk which takes 45 min or so
The girl in the bar is Swedish, though she looks more spanish or polish, could not pick up her name though, how do explain why I am asking her name etc for people on the internet without it appearing weird
John
Seriously, do you know if the excursion shop does a trip to Formentera?
Cheers
Mick.
ps - what's the weather like? - still hot and dry?
thanks for the info on the car hire people! but does anyone know if there is swimming lessons available for kids?
