Hi Suddy,
We are making a return visit to Lesvos - last week in August & 1st in September. The sea should be nicely warmed by then! At any rate, the thermal baths are always available if we get the need to warm up even more. The flight was (I thought) with My Travel, but when the confirmation email arrived I discovered that the flights were with XL - too late then to do anything about it :-(
Still, fingers crossed that all goes to plan and no delays/cancellations happen.
Cheers,
Jet
Manchester to malaga 19th may 6hrs delay, coming home 2hr delay.
swore last time about 2yrs ago would never use them again but prices swayed me .would rather pay a bit extra and use a more reliable airline in future.

Just a thought--------------but how much are ciggies on XL????????
Just got back from Samos using XL, flights on time both ways, courteous cabin crew, in-flight meals not great but overall couldn't fault it.
Our flight tickets arrived this morning but no suitcase tags
hubby phoned customer sales who advised that tags will follow shortly
Is this true ???
Last year we didn't have any tags, just bought our own from WH Smiths, As we had booked a flight only I didn't expect any in the same way I wouldn't expect them from BA, or Easyjet
Hate no having my tickets at least 2 weeks before I go.
We fly to Menorca on the 28th June - We received our tickets last week - but No suitcase tags either!!
Is anyone going out (or coming back) with Excel shortly or just come back? I'm after the current Altitude magazine - apparently a photo I submitted to their photography competition has won a Highly Commended from them and I just wondered if they'd featured a copy of my pic in the mag? If it's in there I would love a couple of copies for my boy's memory boxes.
If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.
Tis
PS - we flew with Excel last year and had no problems, cabin crew were friendly and helpful, we had minor delays both ways but landed pretty much on time both ways so no complaints from us!
XL don't issue bag tags, just like the majority of airlines. The laser tags issued at check-in are all that is required, it has your own name on and unique individual tag number. The baggage labels you attached yourselves are only for your benefit, as long as you can identify your own bag then they are not used for anything else.
xx
Ive got the summer 07 Altitude book here, there are 2 highly commended pics 1 from claire 2 boys on beach and 1 from Christopher A waterfall.... drop me a line with your address to XXXXXXXXX and i will post you the page out. Assuming one of those pics is yours.
I go on my holls again on Tuesday so if i dont have time nip to post office will do it on my return, just send me another email in 2 weeks to remind me.......NO probs.......caroline...x
EDIT: Email address removed for online security reasons, as per T&Cs. Please exchange any personal contact info via PM only. Many thanks.

so if you flying with excel watchout..
the flight home was a disgrace we had a 3 hour delay a skiathos then we flew to kavala to refuel we had to wait in transit lounge while the plane was refueled as we watched our luggage was unloaded and the luggage from a diffrent excel plane was loaded onto our plane and then followed by the passengers and off it flew. our pilot walked in and told us the other plane was faulty and we had to wait while an enginner came to fix it be prepaired for a stopover.4 hours later the the pilot comes back and says the plane has been fixed and is just being checked (funny as nobody went near the plane) our original plane had gone to bristol because there crew was short on hours and couldnt wait while there plane was fixed so just took ours instead. we finally got to gatwick at 11.35 p.m they no food on the flight didnt offer and meals which by eu rules they should but gave us a free drink (wow) so if anybody else suffers the same fate please post it on this forum because shoddy service like this needs to be shown .
we have travelled with kosmar dozens of times but if they treat passengers as badly as us it will be the last ,we know that planes do break down but you dont expect to sit for 7 hours without any real info just sitting there twiddling your thumbs.
rant over cheers kev
hi just returned form skiathos with kosmar holidays and flew with excel, when we booked the holiday and inflight meals were included but when we boarded the plane we were told you had to pay £5.00 each person each way , i have emailed kosmar but have no reply yet. the flight home was a disgrace we had a 3 hour delay a skiathos then we flew to kavala to refuel we had to wait in transit lounge while the plane was refueled as we watched our luggage was unloaded and the luggage from a diffrent excel plane was loaded onto our plane and then followed by the passengers and off it flew. our pilot walked in and told us the other plane was faulty and we had to wait while an enginner came to fix it be prepaired for a stopover.4 hours later the the pilot comes back and says the plane has been fixed and is just being checked (funny as nobody went near the plane) our original plane had gone to bristol because there crew was short on hours and couldnt wait while there plane was fixed so just took ours instead. we finally got to gatwick at 11.35 p.m they no food on the flight didnt offer and meals which by eu rules they should but gave us a free drink (wow) so if anybody else suffers the same fate please post it on this forum because shoddy service like this needs to be shown .

Hi Caroline
Does anyone know what's going on - is this a glitch or a permanent thing?
Just flew Newcastle to Dalaman return and no problems,Xl are using a Finnair plane all summer for this flight.
Ive just booked flights with excel to egypt for christmas flying out on 23 december from birmingham. Got good price scheduled flight. Have flown with them before a few years ago and had no problems.
we were thinking of booking extra leg room as its long haul but not sure if it will be worth it?!
Have you got a flight number so I can check on the aircraft? It's likely to be a Boeing 767-200/300. Of those, I suspect it'll be the two-class -300ER aircraft. Seat pitch is 32" configured 2-3-2 in economy and 2-2-2 with 45" in XL one (semi-business class). Click here for an economy cabin photo and here for XL one. Extra legroom is worth it if you need it or want that bit more comfort. Meals depend on your booking and who you booked it with. For more information, click here.

thanks for your speedy reply. Very helpfull!!!
flight number is XLA840
i dont think you can price up the extra legroom until after the flights are booked, inflight extras is where you do it i think?!?
