Does anybody know if the markets or bazaars sells clothes for the bigger man and lady? I am talking 24 for lady and up to 5xl for gents?
Cheers
Got a call last night from Bodrum advising me to buy TL now - 2.8 exchange rate.
Buy your stuff before you go out there as I have to go to Rhodes to Marks and sparks if I need new stuff.
John
I got a cracking denim skirt when I was about a size 22 from the Icmeler market, you've got to look though ..... if it looks like it'll fit, try it on!
Thanks for all your swift responces
We have just returned from Marmaris and the prices are much the same as they where this time last year. We where getting a fab rate up to 2.71 ytl to the pound on some days. If you go the middle to end of October prices are a bit cheaper as a lot of the shops have sales on as they close down for the winter. The resturants are about same price as last year and we had some fab 5 course meals for 17-18 ytl about £6. The dolmobus is still 1 ytl, and the boat trips have not gone up in price. Hope this helps you
hi john ,do you find the prices dearer this year tha last.
The prices seems the same to me as last year and with the good rate at the moment better I suppose.
thanks ,john.
Hi just reading some of your comments about clothes, going to mamarus end of june and my husband got aload of clothes from blue inc shop when he got home they were all made in turkey so he took them back get them alot cheaper over there.
Ive just returned from Icmeler & the food prices arn't any dearer than last August, Efes is cheaper & with the exchange rate @ 2.8, theres loads of places selling the stuff at less than £1 a pint, sum places are advitising 60p a pint.
We didnt find any differance in Prices. Went last Sept and and yes, some places are offering cheaper prices for Effes, much to hubbys delight I still got plenty of bargains at the margets too. 6 t-shirts for a tenner. Happy hols. Anna xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Meals on average for 2 off us which included starter, main course and a couple of effes it was normally around 55-60ytl

This year Chicken dishes are about 15 lira & Steak dishes about 20 lira.
We were in Kalkan 18/5 - 1/6 and if anything, prices seemed LOWER compared to what we paid last September in Icmeler. May be it varies from area to area. It would be interesting to hear other peoples views.
Just back from Icmeler and I found the prices pretty much the same as last year. The exchange rate is very good 2.70-2.85 compared to last year 2.4
Just returned from Olu Deniz. Efes 3.5 ytl. Meals varied but approx 70ytl for two starters, two mains & drinks. Excursions, approx £10/£12 for a day trip. Buy two & get a trip to Fethiye market & the ghost village for £2 which covers lunch. Paragliding £55. English breakfast at our hotel was 8ytl & huge - sausages, bacon, two eggs, mushrooms, a slice of some sort of big round sausage, two large thick bits of toast, tomato, onion & baked beans. Didn't need anything else till the evening meal! My partner bought clothes at the market - 5 Dolce & Gabana T shirts for £10. I've washed & ironed them & they came up really well. Good thick cotton. Bargain! I bought a pair of mule type sandals, similar to hush puppies, all leather just 7 quid.! Think I'll take an empty suitcase next time!
these are the prices I was paying at the market under the ICR offices
When we were there we were getting 284 to the £

just a rough guide you could pay more or less depends where you shop and eat,Tansas is a lot cheaper.
We always take with us sugar, coffee, tea, breakfast cereals for the kids, butter, bicuits for a fuddle on the balcony at night, jam,a couple of spreads, cheese, chocolate again for midnight feasting after a few beers.
the list is endless, depends if you want to eat any meals in the apartment.
To make room for this the wife leaves behind her frocks and blouses but I allow her to use mine.
Have a lovely time.
Watch your bills.
