hi rach 24 ncl
We did have enough yes, I'm sure we'd have found ways to spend it if we had a bit more but we certainly didn't feel poor!
Desserts here are fab.
The place Kimvans might be describing is up past Knights bar on the same side it is a small bakery come supermarket/ come cafe. i got some peach and cream pie from there it was to die for.
Nights were cooler again but not really a problem, just take a cardi with you in case (esp for children) although you probably wont need it.
and please please please dont worry the weather will be lovely and im sure you'll enjoy your holiday no matter what.
October is normally still ok but of course Protaras closes at the end of that month for the winter.
To be honest it doesnt need to as the weather is still good but the nights are a lot milder.
Hi all, I am going to Cyprus on 1st October for two weeks. I have been very worried about what weather to expect but now I am much more happier after reading all your replies
hi thanks again for all your replies, we are all booked up now for the 8th to the 22nd of october. after much deliberation we are going to the brilliant apartments instead of the alva. i think the alva may be a bit too noisy at night being over the love boat. i used to sit on the balcony at the lantiana gardens with my red wine nightcap(just the one) and listen to the music going on, but it was background rather than in your face as the lantiana was behind the alva. i can't complain though, i made enough noise on the karaoke at the zodiac! bet the owner there will be glad to see me again.....not! i know the brilliant are above eden square and i must of walked past them a hundred times without glancing at them thinking "this is where you're going next year!" i'm not worried about the weather at all now, just whether the zodiac will let me sing again!
If they dont then pop over the road to Bells. They let me sing and also they let Kezzabelle sing so they must let anyone do it lol.
it was very difficult to sing last year.... all i could hear was booing for the singer before me. i know i'm not that bad because someone put a song in for me, i think they made a mistake because it was an instrumental, still its the thought that counts!
I blame the singer before me for the booing as well lol.
lol! this is true, while i was taking a leek a british soldier asked me if i was going to be in the zodiac the night after as he'd told all his comrades about my performance of madness's "baggy trousers" and wanted to bring them all down for a listen. i still haven't worked out if that was a compliment or not!
Thinking about it as I would have been in Bells at the same time maybe when you went on they were actually booing me across the road.
davetracey uk, get yourself in the Zodiac for some singing! Brilliant bar, and say hello to Panikos for me
Hello me and 3 mates are flying out wednesday, and wondered if anyone could advise us on places to go staying in the tropical dreams cheers
lol kezzabelle, i'll say hi to panakos, was he the owner with the bald head? if it was he was a very friendly guy. he told my eight year old she could sing as often as she wanted (normally kids only allowed til 8.30pm.) i think he thought the more she was up the less i would be!
We have stayed at the Brilliant twice and it was fine. The front of the hotel is on the main road but you can go out the back and down a little footpath through Eden Square to the bars. If you turn right out of the front of the hotel you will come to George's minimarket. We have found them very friendly and helpful and you can get your essentials here. We are having a change this year and going to the Seagull Apartments in Pernera, as our daughter wants to be closer to the diving school. We booked direct with the Brilliant last year and have done the same with the Seagull this year.
I will be working in the zodiac this year as the karaoke compere. Davetracey UK, make sure u come in and sing for us! I worked last year aswell, but by the time you came it may have been Natalie, a blonde girl form Manchester. Think this year wil be busier than last so hopefully the zodiac bar will still be lively in Oct! Looking forward to seeing u there!
Hi! This is my 3rd year year working in Protaras so should be able to help. There are so many bars and restaurants to choose from. How old are u and what kind of thing are u looking for?
