hi davetracyuk, yes i got a reply saying they would try their best with my request bt there was no guarantees, so keeping my fingers crossed. getting really excited now, going to start filling the suitcases as well, though am spending too much time on this site, think i am addicted
my reply from the brilliant apts was a lot more enthusiastic caits, mainly due to the fact i gushed big time and told them how wonderful everyone thought their apts were. they said they would do "their utmost best" to accommodate my wishes however i thought i'd e-mailed a skip company by accident when the ended the letter " we are always at your disposal"
Here's hoping we both get rooms we want, i was thinking maybe i had emailed them a bit too early, maybe i should call them from the airport ?? Have you managed to get suitcases down from loft yet and started packing ???
hi caits, no the case is still jammed in the "loft hole" with wife frantically jumping up and down on it trying to free it .I'll give her to thursday and if she's not managed to release it i'll unbolt it from the loft frame so so she can come down and start packing.
you know, packing is a stressful business for us ladies...just waiting for hubby to ask me to pack his case (which he will do in a casual fashion within the next couple of days) - we are going to Paphos next sunday and his case is now open in the loft with an inviting array of shoes and books which he will take (and never read) strewn over it. The Property Ladder book has now been all over Europe - to some places twice and he still hasn't read it. Then he will, in an equally casual manner (probably next Thursday or Friday) produce some vital and expensive item which needs to be handwashed and gently fan dried by a dusky maiden and which he cannot possibly travel without. No wonder we need a holiday to get over all the stress of gettting it all organised.
ah yes meerkat i can see how you find packing stressful. but you ladies pack better than us mere men. we would need a case the size of a skip to fit what you manage to get into it. but think of us ,we need all our strength to carry the things down the stairs, in the taxi, out of the taxi, onto a trolley (which we have to locate and retrieve like a springer spaniel! ) push around to "check in" often trying to avoid running down loitering old dears that can't decide where their going...."cyril" , "which platform are we going from?" then the back snapping manoeuvre of placing bags on the check in conveyor. (whilst you just hand over the passports and tickets) . we always get sent to see when we're boarding, we never get the window seat, and we get told off for ordering a can of lager and a jack daniels at " 10 am in the morning" when really in cyprus its midday! then at cyprus its same again, locate and retrieve while i " watch for our cases" play coach bingo ( you see every number but yours) and we still don't get the window seat when we find it!!! now thats stress!
Davetracey you are so funny!!!
 i just tell it how it is
You have the same sense of humour as my hubby - I can see that you will get on like a house on fire!!
i'm doing her a favour, how else will she fit into her cozzie? besides i've done a really nice thing, i've recorded x factor for her, all heart arn't i?
Think I will now email the brilliants to see if I can blag two really nice studios. Three and a half weeks and counting
Actually Davetracey you are right - and here was me not thinking about it from a man's point of view! I will be in charge of passports and tickets, and... well, that's probably about it once we get on our way!
(dont worry davetracey, i'm listening to all my old madness albums to get me in the mood for your 'baggy trousers' rendition mate)
Hi Shoestring
davetraceyuk - don't forget our HT Grease duet!

Bells bar has been packed both nights i;ve been in, the rest of the bars on the strip dont seem as busy but still ok.
warm but windy, as the others have said cool at night. occasional thunder storm, usually half a day out of the week.
Am also out in protaras from 15th October... first time in Cyprus... We had not choice in booking dates due to work etc, so know we left it late.. so am glad from what you say that weather will still be nice and I'll need a sun hat.
