Couldn't help but notice when we were here on holiday that a plot of land adjacent to the hotel ( on your way to pubs) had been sold for developement. Never gave this a second thought till now, we have booked to go next year, are they going to start bulding in the near future?
Anybody stayed here recently or going in the future, could you possibly let me know if anythings going on.
Thanks,
Cazz.

Could you let me know about the bulding work when you get back please. Hope it's not to bad as we are getting married over there next year and were going to have our reception at the Yianna Marie but may have to have a rethink if there is building work.
Oh, and I before E except after C.
We are booked in the Rising Star next year and are due to attend a wedding at the Sunrise Beach Hotel Protaras, so can anyone tell me roughly what the distance is between them and how long it should take to walk.
its not far at all and should only take 5 or 10 minutes

hi, we were there in september and the only building work then was the construction of a path along the coast passing safiros bar and heading towards pernera. looks like its going to be quite pleasant with lighting built in etc.
sorry cazz, just read another post and realise you know all about this path
No probs.
We will be staying at the Rising Star in Protaras from 5th Aug for two weeks and we have a 2 Bedroom apartment.
We have read many fantastic reviews on the Rising Star, but was just wondering if anyone had any info or Pics on the 2 Bed Apartments.
What are they like, what floors are they on, views, size etc.
Any info would be great as we have two 70+ pensioners in our party so if I can EMail the Hotel beforehand to eleviate and possible problems that would be great.
Many Thanks as usual
Bill

We are booked with Direct Holidays -
Hi, we are looking to book the Rising Star August 2010, we have previoulsy stayed in the Vangelis 2yrs ago and really did like it there, and would like to return to Protaras, but now the kids are that little bit older, 12 & 15, we are looking for a self catering hotel/Apartment which offers 2 bedrooms/ I see the Rising star offers 2 bedrooms, but when I look on direct holidays its only offering 1 bedroom apartments, does this mean that all the 2 bedroom ones are fully booked ?? Also if anyone knows of any other 3-4* self catering hotel/aparts that offer 2 beds in central location in protaras, that would be great help.
