we took cash, and could easily change it at the reception, the rate is the same wherever you changet it, so no probs there.

Yes Scorpio, and everyone else. I am back home and back to work. Arrived back in our house at 1am Monday morning. I would have come on here sooner, but its been absolutely hectic since I got home. Haven't even unpacked yet

Will put up a full review now, and any further info or questions, feel free to ask away. Im sure I will forget something.

The review is now on if anyone is interested. Scott from Barnsley.

Any questions, fire away and I will try to answer them as best as I can.

:?: i am going on holiday to the sahara beach hotel next week and i am concerned about the bottled water. i have read reviews about people becoming ill from a certain make of bottled water. If anyone could tell me which bottled water to avoid and which bottled water is best to drink i would be most greatful. :? :?:

is marwa the one we should avoid?

Marwa is the one that is supposed to cure constipation. We had it once, but the only place that seemed to have it was the restaurant. So dont ask for water in the restaurant! UNLESS you want fizzy water. They do a big bottle of fizzy water in there, so have that.

Remember to take some little games like cards or travel monopoly etc. You may be bored of a night.

Is there any safe none fizzy water as i have a very fussy daughter?

Yeah its called Safia or theres another one that is in a clear bottle wiht a blue and green label... just avoid MARWA and yu'll be fine!

glad you r back safe and sound I need to know is there anywhere to watch footy there as my team have a few big games while im away.

Also the pizzaria is that included for AI and also did you try the nightclub

night club great! A lot of techno music though! Nice as there isnt much else... take your own alcohol(sneakily) and just buy cokes in there.

Pizzeria is not part of A I and still isnt very expensive though!

when are you going

we drank marwa and we were fine, so I think depends on the individual
hope you have a fab holiday.

Scorpio, like the earlier post says the pizzeria isn't AI, and I didnt go in because i thought food was fine most days. But it did seem cheap though. Although on the menu outside the pizzeria, for a pizzaria, there was TINY choice on pizzas!

Didnt venture into the nightclub at all. It was bad enough getting naff beer in the hotel without having to pay for it as well. Cant stand techno music either.

Never saw anywhere likely to screen football unfortunately. Fortunately though it was pre-season when i was there :)

Your best chance maybe the english bar that ive heard about. Rose & Crown I think, maybe at Sousse. Someone else on here may know.

Hope that helps mate. Enjoy your holiday.

As far as the water goes, I also think it depends on the individual. I tried Marwa once and was fine. But every other bar never had Marwa. It was all the proper stuff. The bottled water over there tastes better to me than it does over here.

My boyfriedn drank the Marwa water and was absolutely fine but i did the first day and regretted it the whole night so like evereyone says it depends on your body really.... Try it the first night and you'll see!

Like i said if you prefer spirits to beer, take your own from duty free and just buy mixers in there... very cheap!

there is a bar not far from sahara beach called the safari which has sky, they show most matches... hope that helps!
