Hi everyone,

My goodness, what a crazy couple of weeks, how things fall behind when you go off on holiday for a while!

Welshoney, we stayed in the block right next to the reception desk, all the way up on the fourth... hubbys face was a picture!

Oh gosh i wish i was ther now.....we'd be lay on the beach with a bottle of sparkling water, a book, a three day old news paper just in!!!! with nothing to think about other than what time should we go for dinner. Oh fantastic weather, my boys in and out of the sea, the germans in ther g-strings!!! oh my god what is that all about???!!! It was really rude of us, but one guy and his wife wore the most ridiculous swimwear, and we just had to look, honestly it passed the time! let me explain, she was a good 16-18 dress size, and wore a black thong bikini, well i say bikini but it was just the bottoms, and you only new it was black if you saw her arrive at the pool because once she took the top off and lay down her body consumed the bottoms! her hubby was so proud of her though, you could tell this by the way he rubbed her sun lotion in! he wore a pair of baby pink and blue speedos, he too was slightly over weight but looked better than his wife, oh and he liked to play boules on the beach in them. Ha ha ha, i so wish i could see it now.

Oh Amanda how did u stop from laughing & pointing...lol.....I would have & I think my older kids would have had bother stopping themselves!!! I did say on another post.. the Germans have a rule unto themselves...great style...NOT lolol...it's nice to have freedom...but get the fashion right !! lol
Glad U had a fun hol tho... I'm flying out on Sunday...nervous but excited too..

oh by the way... not packed a thing yet !!!! and I am packing for four of us!!! AGGGhhh

Glad you had a fab time, we stayed in the first block on the third floor with a view of the top pool and the sea, bad thing but got used to it, was the noise from the next doors hotel generator. .
I know what you mean about some of the beach attire .
I bet your holiday like ours, seems so far away now

So Ladies... being a size 12/14 with all covering bikinis...you reckon I'll be ok style wise??? I'm scared of large topless German women ...lolol

Pretty much everyone was topless on the beach when we were there...not just the germans! Sure you'll be great!

There were people around the pool who were topless, saw some women swimming in the pool as well, some woman who really shouldn't have gone topless if you know what I mean, put it this why, it caused them to have white knees

Yeah definitly saw some of those!
Luckily i dieted before i went away... so my knees didnt go white!

Merlot you'll be fine, honestly.

There was a lot of topless women around i'd say a good 50-60%, and some of them was well into there 60's so i know what you mean by white knees, but i have to say not for one second did anyone get hassled or stared at, it was perfectly acceptable. The only thing i really objected to and was very close to complaining about was a woman on the next table to us in the restaurant came to lunch in just her bikini top and she was a heavy chested woman and you know how close the tables were! Hubby asked me to ignore it, but i thought it was unacceptable you wouldn't sit at your own table in your own home in just a bra! (or at least i wouldn't) we ended up turning our backs to her and i think she got the message after a few tuts!

yes and no
the hotel was spot on but there wasn't much to do night time apart from watch the entertainment which isn't very good,i did enjoy it but it was all getting a bit tedious towards the end

I know what you mean, that's what i said in my review. Didn't realise the outside entertainment place was so big, either, so put a photo on here so people can see that.

Well... I'm off to Glasgow tomorrow to catch an early Sunday flight, we have had a week of total disasters ..every household appliance has broken down ( fair enough but I'm leaving older 2 teens at home so they need them! so had to run around getting electricians, plumbers...ect...aggg) Hubby & one child ill with flu, so I'm nervous and tired but trying to be excited .. Worst one was hubby crashing the car on Weds night... Glasgow airport is 150 miles away from us !!! .... insurance company too busy to answer claims & arrange courtesy car..
Finally my insurance agent phoned them & shouted at them (he said he'd had a sh** day so nothing to lose...lolol) so I picked up an emergency hire car tonight which I can leave at the airport..phew & I have one booked for return....
I think next year I'll try Scarborough....lol

have a lovely time it sounds to me that this holiday is a well deserved one, just go chill and relax.

going in two weeks and i'm getting conflicting advice on what money to take can someone advise me whether to take cash, sterling traveller's cheques or american travellers cheques. And are there any cash machines at the complex.

i would take stirling coz the pound is stronger than the dollar but the dolla is equally accepted over there to be honest.

We took stirling - and my boyfriend is american so kind says it all really!
