cheers for that info steve, very helpful..
Has anybody else got any info for me please??!!
Sure you'll have a great time in Sidari, stayed just across from you in Acharavi quite a few years ago when Greece was a LOT cheaper than the U.K. Although the prices have started to creep up since they changed to the Euro, I think you'll find that it's still a fair bit cheaper than back home. Especially the drinks and they don't even measure them properly. You'll get about a triple shot (or even more) for the price you'd pay for a single back home. Don't know if you've been to Greece before, but be warned you'll have to be patient when ordering food because their pace of life is relaxed to say the least. Fantastic place though!
hi,I went to Sidari last year and I loved it.The beach is great with shallow sea,you can walk out quite far and it still quite shallow. You can hire speed boats, pedal boats and canoes on the beach. There is plenty of bars to choose from and a few clubs. You can have it a quiet or as mad as you like, there is plenty of choice.

You can also hire a moped , quad bike but you do need to be over 21 with a driving licence. Also during the day a lot of the bars along the main street play the latest films some that are not even at the pictures yet. So ideal if you want a day out of the sun with some ice cold Mythos.
Hope this has been of some use, where you stopping?
Hi Adam, Well cant add much to what Steve said, but yes would reccomend the Mexican, it's a Tex Mex but like Steve can not remember the name, not far from a bar called Shakers that does some cracking breakfasts, Try the Desperate Dan 2 of everything tea/coffee toast and OJ for about 4 euro's. sets you up for the day. You can hire a boat for the day heres their web site You can also hire a moped , quad bike but you do need to be over 21 with a driving licence. Hi Adam, Went to Sidari last year. Prices not too bad. A pint of Mythos (the local lager) about 2-3 euros. A two course meal with wine about 10-15 euros. Plenty of choice for reaturants so they do compete, they also have "menu of the day" which is about 8 euros. They have buffet style indian and chinease resturants (eat as much as you want) for about 10-13 euros. A lot of the bars also have offers on their drinks, buy 2 get 1 free, free shots etc etc. You will find that some of the spirits are only a BIT cheaper then here. But a lot BIGGER mesures!!!!!!!
The prices arent too bad in Sidari, still cheaper than back home.Stick to the local beer 'Mythos' its cheaper than the imported beers and is quite nice. The spirits are good value, like Shirley said they dont measure them so you get a lot! There are planty of restaurants to choose from, all doing deals and specials of the day.A lot of the bars do some great food too and reasonable prices. You'll have a great time
jralph, cheers, good info.. Yeah over 21 with a licence so might consider that!
Hi Adam, try this link. It will give you some info on not just your apts but quite a bit of info on Sidari
my freind went to the same apartments last year she said they are very nice, me and her going there 5th sept this year she did say theres no street lights so take a touch
as with other locations where there are bars you can get quite a few free drinks from the vouchers they hand out which is never a bad thing!
beach is good as nice and sandy and water is calm and shallow.
nice weather too, we didn't have one bit of rain.
food was good in all places that we ate in.
would reccommend hiring car or bike so you can go to some of the other beaches and stuff.
have a good time anyway!!!
pojo
How far is it from the airport?
The transfer time from the airport is roughly 1 and half hours, depending on drop off points in the resort
It depends a lot on how busy the road is, but an hour to 90 minutes should do it if you're not dropping people off too often on the way. Around 60 minutes by car.
Seemed liek no time at all, and its all beautiful scenery to look at
I take it you're not driving then
i am not a fan of greece corfu in particular, but 2 years ago i went to the sidari holiday village with my husband and 3 children and found the holiday very pleasant, there was plenty to do in town although we did not venture to the town at night time as we had family entertainment in our hotel, but i definetly didn't think it was rowdy or a dump and i am a very hard person to please infact i thought it was a more suitable resort for couples
Sidari is not quiet, personally we did not like the resort. Have stayed in Roda which was better, and Kassiopi which is nice with it having a harbour.
agree that kassiopi was a pretty town
san stefanos is lovely my elderly ex in laws go every year and take my daughter. The beach is sandy and shelving. a few bars and tavernas. Just make sure you check location of accommodation as some is on steep hills, the main resort area is on the flat thought.
