I went to my SW group this morning and I was pleasantly surprised. I obviously knew I had put on weight which was the reason why I thought about giving it all up. I had put on 3 lbs making a 4 lb gain in three weeks. I know this may sound bad to you, but I genuinely thought that I would be told I had put on 7 lbs, because it felt like it. I am so bloated.

I mentioned the fast forward plan to the class leader and she said that for this week I will have to do a food diary then next week if I have not lost any weight she will put me on the fast forward plan. She said they try not to put people on it because it is so strict. I gather you have 19 to 21 units and you are not allowed any free foods. Things like fruit can be 2 units, therefore, it doesn't take much to use up your daily allowance.

I am hoping to lose the 4lbs by next Wednesday, however, it is my birthday on Sunday so I will have to be extra careful.

I have decided not to tell my o.h. about my weight gain. I will tell him I have stayed the same.

I mentioned to my group leader about my o.h. being a diet sabateour and she said it is really common especially when other halves are concerned. She said they used to have one lady who had such a problem with her husband that they stopped putting her weight in her book. How sad is that.

WELL DONE! Shelia, Bet you are made up it wasn't so bad after all.... Just buckle down now and get it under control. YOU know you can do it....
And well done to you too Mandi, 3lbs is excellent, keep up the good work.
Well done Irene as well - even though it's hard when you keep maintaining week after week (I know, been there, done that) but just keep at it, you will get there in the end.

Good Luck everyone else Denny

I think it is brilliant to have others to discuss it with.

I feel much better now, especially as I had SW chips with my meal this evening. It is the first time I have made them and they were delicious.

Hi all.
Must be the thought of summer approaching that has given everyone the kick up the behind they all needed to get back into diet mode. I always think that when the sun shines, salad always tastes so much nicer and it is easier not to comfort eat.

Well done everyone on some brilliant weight losses and some serious positive thinking.

My husband has been really good about my weight loss and the diet. In fact, I dont make separate meals for him or my daughter (although they both do eat a lot more "goodies" than I would), I think that is one of the beauties of SW - everyone can eat it and not realise. Hubby didnt really need to lose weight as he has a very active job and is pretty lean, but I must say that he has lost a few lbs himself and he does look better for it. It would be terrible if I thought he didnt support me and, especially over the last few weeks where I have been a bit disheartened about the whole diet thing, I would have never have got back on the wagon. I think he rather enjoys the new slimmer me ;) especially as I am now smaller than I was before I had my daughter.

Sheila, you know that on this thread, you will have all the support and encouragement you could possibly need. Well done for going to class and good luck for the coming week.

Sarah :)

Hey Sheila, 4lbs isn't so bad after all! Know what you mean about expecting it to be more though, I felt really bloated too with the 4lb gain. I haven't had enough time to read through the posts I missed when I was away, so not sure what I missed.... :think Looking at the posts this week though everyone is still doing really well whether this is shown through losses or simply through the positive thinking. Definately spurring me on although I've got to admit that it's not easy getting back on the wagon (I'm sure it's got bigger since last time I was on there :rofl )
So keep it up everyone and keep away from those saboteurs! ;)

hi all

Just thought i would ask if anyone has given the tesco meatfree burgers a go. They are 0.5 syns and they are absolutely lovely. I have them on a 2oz wholemeal roll or 2 small bread ( b section) with either salad or sometimes i will have a fried egg and mushrooms ( on bun with burger) oh and fried onion.
On the side of the plate i normally have 1/2 packet of chicken savoury rice and a corn on the cob but tonight i think i will have chips and beans with it. I dont know what they taste like on there own though as i always have them on bread.

Congratulations Lindsay!!! Hope you have a very smooth running, happy pregnancy!

You might end up losing quite a bit with morning sickness!

I had my weigh in tonight and ive lost 2lbs this week, so only 1 more pound till i hit the Stone mark yay!

And the friend i thought had given up lost 3.5lbs, which took her over the stone mark - im so chuffed for her - she kinda needed to lose this week to keep her motivation going.

Really looking forward to getting this blue sticker and hopefully going down a dress size sometime soon. I do feel my jeans are a bit bigger, but i doubt im a whole size smaller yet.

Just a quick question - im always wondering - what does "SW" stand for? Im on Scottish Slimmers, so might start just writing SS.

Good luck for this week everyone!

thanks!! sw is slimming world which i believe is supposed to be very similar to scottish slimmers. unfortunately i didnt do morning sickness in my last pregnancy and i dont feel sick this time either i just have to eat very spicy foods as everything tastes bland. i only put on 7lbs in my last pregnancy but have lost that and an extra stone on sw so i am hoping to stay near to my current weight if possible as i could still do with another stone off. good luck all, lindsay

Congratulations Lindsay.
Like you, I only put on 7 or 8lbs when I was pregnant with my daughter. My weight piled on once I had finished breast feeding her. Ive got no excuses, I just ate for England. Still, im smaller now than before I had her so I am pretty chuffed with that.

Good luck for a simple, easy pregnancy.

Ahhh SW is Slimming World - that makes sense :) I think a girl in my office is doing SW aswell - is that the one with red days and green days etc?

Ive never seen SW Food in our shops - or do you make the chips yourself? I was bad on friday - had a tiny portion of chips and breaded fish from our work canteen - eek! Will just have to be good all week now. I just hope i dont give up after losing a stone. Im aiming for this blue sticker this week - will have to remind myself i need another 3 blue stickers before reaching target!!

Good luck for this week girlies! x

I didnt see much progress at all the last few weeks but over the last two I decided to up my excercise and have been making the most of the cross trainer I bought ages ago - its been a great clothes horse but Ive dusted it down now.

Last week I managed a 2lb loss and a further 1lb and half this week takes me to within a 1lb of where I wanted to be when I started SW.

THink I may want another 4lb now though!!

COngratulations Lindsay and good luck to everyone

Morning Everyone
Have not been on site much lately - problems with AOL wireless :cry Just about to change my internet provider, sending this from work.
Congratulations Lindsey on new of your pregnancy.
Well done to everyone who is doing well - keep going, weigh in for me tonight hoping to see a loss after 2 weeks of maintaining?
We are having a food tasting tonight and I am taking SW quiche. Can I just check the recipe with you - have cooked Tomato & Herb flavour pasta (last time I used the Cheese and Brocolli one). add 3/4 eggs, loads of veg and cottage cheese (I didn't bother last time) any ideas on whether better with or without CC?
Thanks Irene
